The weather is changing and all the Elderberry's are budding❤️This will be our first Summer in 14 years without Otis stomping around.We think of him everyday and this farm looks different without him😢

It has taken me this long to sit down and write this, because we have been devastated at the loss of Otis, our 14 You're old sulcata tortoise. We lost Otis on Christmas Eve. It appears that he passed because of some type of internal infection that we knew nothing about. Otis slept in his heated room mostly in the winter and so, we didn't think anything of it when he did not come out for a couple days but, Christmas Eve was such a nice day that we couldn't figure out why so, we went and checked on him and that's when we found him. Otis was a huge part of our life and our farm and our life in Charleston hundreds of people knew him and loved to visit with him and bring him treats. We still haven't really come to terms that he's not here anymore and we did bury him on our farm under his favorite persimmon tree.

We have been busy harvesting elderberries on our farm, they'll be $14 a pound like they were last year and they will be frozen or we have kits for sale also for $15. You get about 10 jars of elderberry syrup out of the one pound frozen bags . Let us know how many you need or get on the list now 🌷
