The Myth: Hair can be heat trained.

The Truth: No hair can not be ‘heat trained’. Over time your texture will relax do to the frequent stretching & smoothing. Eventually the curl pattern softens and will blow out and smooth quicker. This does not mean wearing your texture heat styled will lead directly to heat damage. It DOES mean in order to maintain your hair’s health and retention you should be giving it TLC between styling: using good products that maintain both strength and moisture, staying on top of trims and taking an occasional break from heat or using less intense styling methods( roller sets, diffusing, soft blowouts, etc).
