It’s our anniversary! Opened the shop one year ago today, many thanks to all who love the Dude 🥂

The MADNESS is upon us! If your team already lost, I wish you safe travels home ✌🏼, the rest of you stop by the shop for a trim & some hoops!

I know I’m getting old, sleep has become so much more important to me…for the first time I can remember, I slept through a UK basketball game. Watching today at the shop knowing we won is actually kinda nice 👍🏼

To everyone who’s stopped by these first few weeks, I thank you. Don’t know that I’m “the best,” but you all are the best in my book. Speaking of book, get on mine for a trim! Fool’s Spring is here, the sun is shining in beautiful downtown Lexington. Come get cleaned up ☀️💈

That’s what the kids say right? Decor coming along, feel like it will constantly get tweaked but this is the current look.

Eventually, the plan is to have 4 barbers total. Right now it’s just me, but I’d like to hire a second person soon. The Dude offers flexibility that I believe will be appealing to strong candidates:

-The shop will be open Tuesday-Saturday, but YOU decide what days and what hours you work. As long as you pay your weekly chair rent, come & go as you please.

-YOU decide what barber services you offer, and YOU decide what to charge for them. If you want to do $5 haircuts, have at it. If people will pay you $100 a cut, fine by me…get that money player.

To a certain extent, that chair you’re renting is YOUR BUSINESS, and I’m not here to micro-manage. Just be a nice person, treat others with respect, keep the vibes chill.
