It was my first.

My first time getting picked up by a complete stranger… who now became a friend.
My first time riding a bike at the beach feeling free, happy, and present.
My first time sitting down just to watch the sunset.

Shori told me, “This is our family tradition back in Hawaii. We never miss a sunset.”

And honestly… that stayed with me.

My first time sharing a room with two completely stranger women.
My first time meeting and hang out with featured on
The kind of women that make you quietly think, “I want to be like her when I grow up.”

Then a random heart-to-heart conversation with left me speechless.
She saw something in me that I never thought I could be.

But the funny thing is…
I didn’t go there just to learn a skill.

I went there to learn who I am.
Who I’m becoming.

And maybe for the first time in a long time… I’m actually proud of myself.

Proud that I stopped looking for approval.
Stopped chasing the “I got it all together” dream.
Stopped pretending I was successful or special just to feel worthy.

Because the truth is… I already am special.
Just in my own way.
