One of the biggest misconceptions about tallow?
That it’s heavy, greasy, and will clog your pores.

It’s not.

Tallow is rich, yes — but its structure is very similar to the natural oils your skin already produces. That means it melts into your skin and absorbs far more easily than you’d expect.

Used properly, your skin should feel soft and nourished — not coated.

We only use ingredients your skin recognizes (and that you can pronounce).

I launched the Backwood Bougie website yesterday… and it still feels a little surreal.

This started from wanting something simple that actually worked for my own skin — and turned into something I’m really proud of.
Every product is made in small batches using tallow sourced directly from our ranch. It’s simple, but it works.
