We are excited to offer you a hands on, unique workshop!
Lymphatic Massage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. The lymph system depends on intrinsic contractions of the smooth muscle cells in the walls of lymph vessels and the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels to lymph nodes and then beyond the lymph nodes to the lymph ducts which return lymph to the cardiovascular system.
Lymphatic Massage is a very gentle manual treatment that is proven to reduce swelling by dramatically enhancing the function of the lymphatic system. Lymphatic Massage is also known to improve the quality of sleep, decrease pain, calm the nervous system, and benefit the immune system. Part 2 Routines demonstrates ways to incorporate drainage techniques and active range of motion into full body routines. There is more information about the class at www.knowlesrehab.org

Craig Knowles Bio:
As a 19-year-old, Craig Knowles enrolled in massage school and has enjoyed an active practice ever since. He continued his formal education and received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and Healthcare Management from Sienna Heights University. Specializing in Sports and Medical injuries for over 25 years, Craig has helped countless individuals by increasing their quality of life either by alleviating or helping to manage their pain. Craig has over 20 years of experience as an educator in both entry level education and continuing education. It’s no surprise that this dedicated massage therapist, educator, continuing education provider, regulator, family guy, and man of integrity was inducted into the World Massage Festival Hall of Fame in 2020.
