Helping athletes with soreness, stiffness, and mobility to help them perform their best.

The idea that you should never get a massage before a competition is more of a caution than a hard rule.
Whether it applies to you comes down to your body, your routine, and your relationship with your therapist.
The more intentional you are about recovery, the more confident you will feel stepping into competition. ๐

What you get when you bring intentional recovery support to your team goes deeper than you might think. ๐โโ๏ธ
A structured methodology, the ability to help the body truly downshift between sessions, and an approach that accounts for everything athletes carry on and off the field; that is what makes the difference between a team that survives a season and one that thrives through it!
If you are interested in bringing consistent, professional recovery support to your team or program, I would love to connect. ๐
That layer of connective tissue surrounding your muscles, bones, and organs? It has a bigger impact on how you feel and move than most people realize. ๐
When it becomes restricted, it can limit mobility, create that โstuckโ feeling, and contribute to tightness that just wonโt go away no matter how much you stretch or foam roll.
Hands-on work can help encourage that tissue to release, improving movement quality, hydrating the tissues and helping your body function the way itโs supposed to. ๐
If this is the kind of content that makes you think differently about recovery, give us a follow for more. ๐๐ผ

One of the best parts of this career is the people it brings into your life. Jenna is a perfect example of that. ๐
Invest in your craft, show up for your profession, and youโll keep finding yourself in rooms with incredible people doing the same thing. โ๏ธ

Spring marathon season is here, and if youโre deep in a training block right now, your recovery deserves just as much focus as your long runs.
Massage therapy may help your body actually absorb the work youโre putting in, so youโre not just surviving training, youโre thriving in it.
Whether youโre running your first marathon or your tenth, letโs make sure your body is ready for race day. ๐โโ๏ธ

The strongest professionals in this industry arenโt competing with each other... theyโre collaborating.
Our athletes trust us with their bodies and their performance, which means we also need trusted colleagues who can step in and provide the same level of care when opportunities take us elsewhere. That looked like Tyler, Heather, Melissa, and Sarah covering LOVB athletes, and Karen, Grace, and other LMTs supporting football players training with Better Athletes for Pro Day.
Relationships like these are what create opportunities, raise standards, and move our profession forward.
Recovery isnโt just about doing more.
Sometimes the answer isnโt another workout, another stretch, or another ice bath.
Massage therapy can help address deeper tissue restriction, improve circulation, and support better movement patterns as your body adapts to physical stress. Itโs not just about temporary relief; itโs about helping the body recover more effectively between training sessions or after injury.
When recovery is approached intentionally, it can improve range of motion, reduce muscle guarding, and help restore normal function so you can keep doing the activities you enjoy!
What if recovery meant release? ๐ง
Massage therapy is not only about what it can increase. It can also help decrease the physical and mental load your body carries.
Training, work, stress, and daily demands all activate the system. Recovery can allow it to settle.
When the body is able to downshift, it can restore more effectively and function more consistently over time.
Recovery is not just about building capacity. It is also about allowing space for regulation. ๐

Training might be important, but itโs rarely the only thing on your plate.
Most athletes and active adults are balancing lifting sessions with classes, careers, long shifts, meetings, travel, childcare, and everything in between. ๐ตโ๐ซ
The mental load alone can influence how the body feels and responds.
Massage therapy supports more than muscle tissue. It can help manage stress, improve sleep quality, sharpen focus, and restore energy, all of which influence how you train and perform!
When life is full, recovery has to support more than just performance. ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ
Who knew relaxing could be difficult ๐
When you have dealt with pain or injury, your body often holds on a little tighter, and muscle guarding can become a habit.
Part of the process is helping the muscle recognize that it is safe to move normally again!
Recovery is not just about pressure. It is about restoring trust in movement. ๐๐ผ
Recovery goes deeper than surface relief. ๐๐ผ
Massage therapy influences how your body adapts to physical stress, how it restores between sessions, and how prepared you feel stepping back into training, in or out of season.
When recovery is approached intentionally, it supports both the work you are doing and the systems that allow you to keep doing it consistently.
It is not just about feeling good in the moment. It is about building resilience over time.
Iโm Amanda, a Licensed Massage Therapist working with athletes and active individuals who want their recovery to support their performance.
