We have a tradition of taking a break on our social media in July. Summers are a lovely time of year to spend time with family and friend and relaxing. We encourage you to take this time to relax and enjoy time with loved ones.

We’re excited to offer facials again! We now have TWO dual licensed LMT/estheticians on our team that are available to perform a wide variety of facial services. Facials are an excellent way to relax, improve overall skin care, and receive bodywork for neck, face, and scalp, at the same time. Additionally, massage to the face can help individuals who suffer from facial and headache pain.

Facial Menu:

Signature Facial: Our signature Facial is a refreshing, all-skin-type treatment designed to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate. The session begins with a mild cleanse to remove impurities, followed by a personalized exfoliation treatment based on your skin type. A soothing mask and barrier balancing moisturizer complete the facial, leaving your skin balanced, glowing, and revitalized.

Rejuvenating Facial: The Rejuvinating Facial is specially designed to target signs of aging and restore a youthful glow. This treatment starts with a gentle cleanse and exfoliation to remove dull, dead skin cells. A hydrating and firming mask and moisturizer finish the treatment, leaving skin looking and feeling more smooth and radiant.

Purifying Facial: The Purifying Facial is perfect for oily or acne-prone skin. It begins with a deep cleansing to remove excess oil and impurities, followed by exfoliation to unclog pores. Extractions with steam are optional. Finish with a refining mask and moisturizer. This treatment will provide clear, balanced, and refreshed skin.

Did you know that we offer manual lymphatic drainage massage?

MLD is a combination of relaxing, light pressure massage and deep breathing techniques that help promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of swollen limbs, directing it through the correct channels and to the appropriate lymph nodes to help decrease swelling and encourage immune function. MLD does not address muscle issues; the lymphatic system rests above the muscles in the adipose tissue closer to the skin and using a gentle pressure is essential in correctly moving lymphatic fluid.

Let's talk about muscles! Last week Jenni worked with our team on muscles in the thoracic region. The levotor scapula was one of those muscles. With it's origin on the transverse processes of C1-C4 (cervical vertebrae) and it's insertion on the medial border of the scapula, this muscle can cause pain in the thoracic and neck area.

Our team learned about common indicators for treatment including: pain in this region due "sleeping wrong", pain from whiplash, "holding stress", playing sports that tend to use one side, or one sided phone cradling. If you think this muscle is the culprit, be sure to let our team know!

On Wednesday, our LMT team got together for a thoracic back training with Owner, Jenni Hansen, LMT. We are excited to practice on you! Our team continues to work hard on specific muscular training especially for our clients needing pain relief. Our team tests out both with written as well as practical hands on tests prior to being added to specific focus modality sessions. It’s exciting to see our team continue to learn and grow as practitioners!
