Maybe it was the warm weather today, but I swear I could feel summer creeping in, and it instantly made me nostalgic for all my favorite things this town brings to life.

3rd Fridays, live music echoing through downtown, the county fair, Balloon Fest magic, art fair strolls, Pigs & Swigs, Pride, Juneteenth, market days at the fairgrounds, car shows, end of school celebrations and that’s just scratching the surface.

It’s slow walks past storefronts, popping into local shops, running into familiar faces, and watching our town come alive in the best way.

People love to say “there’s nothing to do here”, but all you have to do is look around, talk to the small business owners pouring their hearts into this place, and take a drive through town. There’s so much happening; especially in the summer.

Lincoln summers will always be my favorite and after today, I’m more than ready for it 🤍
