One of the biggest things I’ve learned with salon content is to stop just documenting the appointment and start photographing the experience.
Use the mirror. Shoot from your client’s POV. Get the pretty process shots. Play with your focal point. Capture movement. Use your phone as a prop. Photograph the little details that tell the story of the appointment.
Your content doesn’t always have to be the perfectly posed back-of-the-head photo to show off your work.
Sometimes changing your perspective is literally all it takes to make someone stop scrolling. 🤌🏼
