If you’ve been here for a second, you know I consistently preach on how healthy hair starts at the shampoo bowl. Scalp health should be a priority before length retention. That starts with the shampoo.
You should be shampooing every 5-14 days. All of the shampoos listed I have used and some can be in multiple categories.

Conditioners are a holy grail. They can do so much in a little or a lot of time. Conditioner should not be placed on the scalp, as it will cause your scalp to become oily quickly. I only apply conditioner from the midshaft of the hair to the ends. Then I do add a little bit of water and emulsify to get the water to absorb with the conditioner. (Free game 🤭)

How I created this look:
All over custom burgundy formula created with
Sew in enhancement for length and fullness. 2.5 Curly Custom colored bundles to match her density.
Face framing layers and curls.
She has versatility so she can wear a pony, half up/half down, etc. She looks so cute! I love it.
2021 vs 2026. There are no gimmicks to growing hair. A lot of patience, genetics, regime, environmental factors, etc. All of those things add up to determine if you can retain the length you want. Plus a hairstylist that cares about your hair health, like me. 🤭
