If I see another influencer pushing me to buy plastic pumpkins and decorate my porch for fall in august, my head’s going to explode. This constant push for us to be excited for the next season is such a consumerism drive. We feel the need to be in the next season, but because nature isn’t ready yet, we have to buy things to make our space FEEL like “fall.” Can’t we just enjoy our flowers and tomatoes and sunshine and enjoy the fall when it comes? Side note, this is how we arrange flowers without floral foam (that squishy green stuff that’s really bad for the environment, hi microplastics). Cut chicken wire to fit the vase folded over at least once, jam it in there and arrange. ❤️ #sustainable #dahlias #fall #consumerism #supportlocal #garden #flowers
