Did you know that PAPER voter registration submissions is the ONLY permitted filing method in Arkansas with the exception of electronic forms completed at specific state agencies, such as the DMV.
While residents in other states can use their computers or cellphones to register, Arkansans must travel to fill out forms or print out and mail their registration to county clerk offices.
Arkansas is also one of eight states that does not allow online voter registration!!! Our state also ranks last in the nation for voter participation, according to a study from the National Conference on Citizenship.
Electronic signatures on voter registration forms are prohibited unless completed at specific state agencies. A lawsuit challenging this rule, filed by Get Loud Arkansas, had a hearing set for late last month.
NO EXCUSES ARKANSANS!!! We also have to vote for more than just the president! Need to register to vote? Let me help you now or feel free to drop by our voter registration drive on next Monday, September 16th (from 11am-2pm). There will be a representative from our Secretary of State’s office to answer all questions and ensure that YOUR registration is properly processed:)

🗣ATTENTION ALL HAIRBOOS:
I know that everyone on the schedule for next week are nervous because of this good ‘ol Arkansas forecast that has been different EVERY day that I’ve been monitoring it!
You guys know that I’ll only close the salon for increment weather for YOUR safety! As of now, I do plan to be OPEN this week but monitoring the forecast of extremely low temperatures and the threat of snow for next week. If the weather does change for the worse and the road conditions aren’t safe, I WILL NOT RISK your safety or my own and the salon will close! I generally follow LRSD’s incremental weather policy (if the schools are closed…then the salon will be too).
I will TEXT you individually if you are scheduled on a day of a possible closure. Cancellation fees do not apply for weather closures:)
I know some of us are hoping for snow but in Arkansas you have to add your disclaimer of “no power outages or ice” because the entire state will shut down. 😩

I just want to share this as PROOF of how I feel about people coming to the salon sick. 😂 CHECK THE DATE….YEARS BEFORE the pandemic! If I can tough it out with a mask on to still do services, if I even “think” I’m getting sick…I expect the same:) I fight hard to keep my salon a safe space.

I wish I could be singing “Baby, it’s COLD outside” but instead, I’m yelling 🗣Baby, it’s COVID outside…and it’s still HOT!!!
The Diamond Salon has had a SICK POLICY since we opened in 2012. Things are getting bad again as I’m hearing of close friends and family testing positive almost every other day so I thought it was important to reiterate the REQUIREMENTS to properly wear a fresh face mask if you have ANY symptoms of illness PRIOR to entering my salon!!!

In efforts to keep all contagious and infectious disease away from all guests, I take all precautionary measures of sanitation seriously. Each guest who visits the salon is asked to do the same! Our partnership goes beyond ...
If you are sick (or have been exposed to anyone who may be), please let me know immediately. You MUST wear a facial mask during your visit (although I’d prefer you reschedule). There is no other choice! I provide a service to the public and I want to provide a clean and sanitary environment to each guest.
If you choose to still come to your appointment under the weather...you risk passing on what you have to me and all future guests which is unacceptable but there are measure we can take to prevent passing it on.
I love all of my and it's ALWAYS busy so there will be a lot of guests coming in and out. As much as I wipe down and spray surfaces behind EACH guest, a heads up on your cold, flu &/or Covid symptoms would help me keep illnesses at bay. That includes your children.
There have been a lot of sniffles, runny noses and watery eyes lately...and guess what? Weeks ago, I tested positive for Covid for the first, and hopefully last time because of it. I had to quarantine and cancel several clients’ appointments to quarantine. This could have been prevented if proper precautions were taken by sick guests. So please hear me clearly…..ALL guests with fever, cough, sneezes, runny noses, or ANY signs of illness MUST properly wear a mask PRIOR to entering The Diamond Salon! I reserve ALL right to refuse service and block future bookings. Yup, it’s gotten that bad. 😔
Long story not so short:
we don't want 'em. I have several returning clients with autoimmune diseases and I have to look out for them and EVERY other guest who enters my safe space of a salon! Bring your own masks:)

🥹 I’m in tears. It’s been a minute since I read some of my and this has made my day. Most of my “first time” clients often say it feels like they’ve found a new best friend and that they’ve never had a salon experience like this before! I take what I do VERY SERIOUSLY and I don’t play about my .
I just want to PUBLICLY say, “THANK YOU,” to EVERY person who has EVER sat in my salon chair. It’s not always easy…but I LOVE coming to work every day.
I vowed to create a SAFE SPACE and a true SALON HOME because I NEVER wanted to give anyone a poor salon experience like I’d experienced before. You’ll never be able to please EVERYONE but I’m happy to read these reviews from my salon guests:)

Being a MOTHER myself, I wanted to take a brief moment to honor ALL of the mothers who I interact with on this app. Thank you for your love, sacrifices, dedication and even discipline! You may not be told “THANK YOU” enough but you continue without the validation. You love hard and your reward is that you’ve birthed an awesome human being. Today is YOUR DAY. Abandon your to-do list and celebrate…you deserve it!
To my friends that are still trying to become a mom, those who’ve lost their mom (or child), those who’ve become mothers in ways other than birthing, and those who may be pregnant right now…let today STILL be a special day to celebrate. Cherish the memories or find ways to make new ones. Love hard today, even if you don’t feel like it, because at the end of the day, THAT is what being a mother is all about.

Please don’t be alarmed with my salon’s upcoming price increases that go into effect on May 15th. I have been eating up ALL the inflated costs due to the pandemic, products shortages/demands, and price gouging as a favor to each of my HairBoos. I’ve put it off way too long as my profit margin has continued to decline since my last price increase in 2018!!! Yes, you read it right….most of my pricing has remained the same since 2018…even with the cost of basic things like my shampoos increasing over 23% just this year alone and it’s only May! As much as I think of you as FAMILY, I am an entrepreneur and must do the necessary adjustments to remain a thriving and growing business. Surviving the pandemic was EXPENSIVE…I’ve evaluated my income vs expenses and have to get back on track. I will have all NEW PRICING posted on Monday, May 8th to give you the chance to review and cancel future appointments if you do not agree with the new terms. All appointments after May 15 will be set at the new rate. Also, remember that ALL pricing is stated as a “starting price” and may increase for longer, thicker hair that requires more product and service time. My goal has ALWAYS been to provide EACH & EVERY guest a professional experience in a safe and loving environment. I’d like to think that this is why I’ve serviced mostly the SAME salon guests since I opened my salon in 2012….and some still travel across state lines for the services they love. I’ve developed some amazing partnerships with all of you and look forward to servicing you EVEN BETTER upon your next appointment.
*UPDATE: I looooooove how supportive my HairBoos are! One of my Boos who comes from Texas just sent me a screenshot of the email I sent to all of my guests with a reply of 🗣️IT’S ABOUT TIME! Y’all may think it’s a joke when I talk about how much I love them but it’s TRUE BABY!!!
