✨ PYP SPOTLIGHT ✨

We would love to introduce you to Karen Fokes, Certified Massage Therapist and owner of Alameda County Therapeutic Massage located in Livermore, CA. She has been practicing Massage Therapy since 2016, and she has worked in all different arenas within the field; from Corporate, In-Home, Spa, Medical; you name it. She has also launched a successful 3-year wellness event providing chair massage and facials for the staff at the California School for the Blind. In 2021, she took a leap of faith and decided it was time to venture out on her own as a business owner and has not looked back since. 👩🏻‍💻

Women are notoriously known for putting self-care on the back burner, and she wants to change that predicament. Whether you are suffering from muscle aches , joint stiffness, stress, headaches, or just need to hit the pause button, she is here to support you in a worry-free space. 💆🏻‍♀️💆🏼‍♀️

During her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, going to concerts 🎶, grabbing a boba 🧋or coffee ☕️, and traveling ✈️. She is also currently training for the 127th Boston Marathon! 🏃🏻‍♀️

What she liked most about PYP was being able to connect and network with business owners, and meeting others within the area and hearing about their own stories and businesses. ❤️

Hello! Happy March and Women's History Month! TO all the strong and bad ass women out there! I see, I hear you, and celebrate you all day in and day out!

Spent the afternoon hanging at my Alma Mater! Thank You for a wonderful afternoon! I look forward to coming back again!

And that’s a wrap on the first year with and what a whirl wind of a year it was. This first year was mind boggling to say the least and there were countless nights where I wondered if I was even cut out to run a business. From taking on our first pop up at a Bridal Fair in San Jose, to collaborating with at the April pop up and taking on in October for Filipino American Heritage Month. HUGE SHOUTOUT to my girls for helping me hold down the fort at our pop ups! I can’t wait to bust out our floppy hats 👒 and do it again next year! The left was taken the day I got the keys to my first room, and the photo on the right is in the new location. To everyone who has been with me on this journey so far, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I’m only getting started and I’ve got a couple of things up my sleeves in the new year.
