2 years ago, I transitioned into my blonde 👱🏽‍♀️ look. It took 16 hours for the initial process and now it still is a 3-4 hour session in the chair to maintain every 6-7 weeks. I know, that’s a lot!

But I can’t really describe the feeling I have around finally having the hair I’ve always wanted. It’s beautiful, it’s confidence building, it’s so fun!

As the season transitions, it’s natural to pause and reflect.

What went well last season? What can we improve on? What can we celebrate and appreciate? All of these questions definitely rattle around in my head at this time of year.

I’ve learned that even the smallest adjustment or change made can have a ripple effect on how I feel about myself. Subtle changes: to go to bed 30 minutes earlier each night or to play with my daughter a little more or even to put a conditioning treatment on my hair once a week, they all add up to something bigger over time.

I want your salon experience to be an opportunity for you to envision your best self. Whether we make a slight adjustment or create a major make over, it is a chance to treat yourself well, to feel good and to perhaps inspire even more positive changes in your life.

What are the elements of a high quality hair experience? Over the years, I’ve received a lot of feedback about what makes and breaks a salon visit. Here are a few to consider (they may surprise you):

🤩 Check out the stylist’s body of work. Does their artistic eye align with the result you are looking for?

💆🏻‍♀️What kind of salon space do they work in? Are you looking for a private suite space or perhaps a luxe salon studio? Where will you feel most comfortable and at ease?

🤓Last but not least, who is the stylist? How much experience do they have in the specialty services you seek? How responsive are they to your inquiries and questions before, during and after the service? Do they genuinely care?
