Hardships, heartbreak, and loss.

Through it all, the best decision I made was walking every step with Jesus. 🙏
I usually choose a word for the year, but this time I couldn’t land on one.
All I kept coming back to was this truth: God is in control.

This week reminded me that life can hold heartbreak and joy at the very same time. I lost my dad—my first hero, my steady place—and my heart aches in ways I can’t describe. Yet I’m also celebrating my husband’s one-year kidney transplant anniversary. Tavo, I’m so proud of you. Your strength, your fight, commitment it all inspires me, and I can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you.

Grief and gratitude are living side by side in me right now. I miss my dad deeply, but I’m so thankful for every memory and for the dad he was. And I find peace knowing he’s free from pain. At the same time, I’m overwhelmed with joy for the new life Tavo was given this past year.

As my faith deepens, I’m reminded that God has a plan—a plan big enough to hold both loss and new beginnings. Both my dad and Tavo have been given new life in their own way, and somehow that truth is bringing me peace.

💚 October is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

This month means a lot to me because mental health has personally affected both me and my family. There were times when I didn’t feel like myself — days that felt heavy for no reason, moments when my mind was at war with my heart. I’ve seen loved ones go through it too, and it’s one of the hardest things to watch someone you love struggle silently.

But through it all, I’ve learned that faith can move mountains. 🙏🏽 When the darkness crept in, I turned to God. I asked Him to lift the sadness, to calm my thoughts, and to fill me with peace. And little by little, He did. His grace reminded me that I wasn’t alone — not for a single moment.

If you’re reading this and you’re struggling, please know that you are not alone either. 💚 You are loved, you are worthy, and your life has meaning. Don’t be afraid to talk, to reach out, to lean on others — and most importantly, to lean on God.
