I had a meeting with one of my one on one coaching students last night and I shared this with her and then it hit meā¦ B ā¦ you have to say this to everyone you know. So here goes haha. Hope it resonates with you too.
Thereās a voice that tends to show up the second you think about putting yourself out there online. š©·
It sounds like this: āWhoās going to want to watch ME? Iām not an influencer. I donāt have a big following. Nobody knows who I am. Iām not model-pretty or twenty-two or living some aspirational life people want to follow.ā
I need you to hear this. That voice is not telling you the truth!!!
Being seen has nothing to do with any of that. Youāre not trying to build an audience. Youāre not chasing virality. Youāre not trying to be famous. Youāre just trying to show up as yourself and let people actually see you do it. And you know what people respond to? Other REAL people.
The mom LIKE YOU AND ME at the kitchen table with marker on her shirt and a baby on her hip is not a liability. Sheās exactly who people are looking for. The woman with laugh lines and a real house and a real life is not someone anyoneās running from. Sheās the one people actually trust, because she looks like them.
Hereās what I know about where you probably are right now. Going back and forth telling yourself youāll start when itās a better time. Scrolling other womens pages and thinking they have something you donāt. Wondering if anyone would ever look twice at you. Afraid that when itās time to hit record, youāre going to freeze.
And underneath all of that, thereās a version of you that already knows she can do this, and is just waiting for someone to tell her to go.
Iām telling you. Go.

How do you actually start UGC!? Iām overwhelmed with all the freaking info onlineā¦ haha I get it! Literally the first step is creating a portfolio online. Go to Canva and type in UGC websites. Make videos, add them to your portfolio and tadaā¦ DONE!

Bravery isnāt just magically going to comeā¦ I promise you. I didnāt feel ready pitching a Costco buyer. I didnāt feel ready across the table from five investors. I definitely didnāt feel ready the first time I hit post on my own face, hand shaking and everything.
Iām convinced waiting to Feel Ready is just a story we tell ourselves to stay hidden a little longer. You donāt need to feel ready, you just need to be brave for the ten seconds it takes to hit post. Everything will be okay I promise haha!!!

Working moms are doing something that honestly doesnāt have a word big enough for it. It isnāt balance. It isnāt multitasking. Itās just this quiet relentless act of loving deeply and building something real at the exact same time with no off switch and no pause button and absolutely no instruction manual lol!
And what gets me is that their kids are watching all of it. Not the hard moments necessarily. Just the image of someone who shows up. Every single day. For them and for the family and herself at the same time.
I think about that a lot on the days when the juggle feels like too much.
