Today's spotlight is on Emily, (Emily Dawn | Licensed UT Nail Tech ). Born in sunny Arizona, Emily's bright personality followed her to Logan, where she pursued her creative passions by attending Paul Mitchell.

Today, she's been doing nails for two years. She has worked to curate a safe space for her clients, and her talent is showcased with each new nail set she creates.

Outside of work, Emily spends her time with her partner of 4 years and their dog, Toby. Her hobbies include crocheting, painting, and spending time in the sun.

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Lauren (.looksbylauren), our newest cosmetologist! Though she has been officially licensed since April of 2026, beauty has been a large part of her life for a long time. In high school, she participated in theatre by doing makeup and hair, and her grandma used to call her 'sunshine girl,' which was a fitting description. Lauren always wanted to spread kindness, love, and confidence, and when she realized she could do that in through the beauty industry, she pursued that passion.

Lauren creates a space celebrating diversity and inclusivity, aiming to help people not just look good, but truly feel good about themselves. She specializes in makeup artistry of all kinds—SFX, bridal, soft glam, or colorful—and any alternative hair color/fashion color, color corrections, and blonde-ing.

Outside of work, Lauren loves spending time with her family (her fiance and her two girls) watching shows and playing video games. She also loves Diet Coke, proof of which can be found in the matching tattoo of it she has with her best friend, her sister.
