One of the questions I get asked the most is why it matters whether curls are cut wet or dry...

Here is a great example of why it is so beneficial to get a dry cut when you have curly hair!

I took this picture for my client to be able to see how her hair is shaping and blending as I was cutting it dry. Had her hair been wet, I would not be able to truly know where her curls would end up once her hair was dry.

This is why it makes all the difference 💇‍♀️

I am SUPER excited to announce that I am now certified in the Rezo Cut and Rezo Lites!!! Yay! ☺️

A complete blonde and curl transformation 😍

The first picture is Marlen's most recent Devacut and Highlights session. This is a YEAR after coming in for regular haircuts and after a couple of highlighting sessions.

The Second picture is what her hair was like after her first Devacut and Transformation. Even though her hair didn't do a complete 360, it improved significantly for it be8ng her very first visit.

The Third picture was Marlen's hair after a color service she had done at another salon had destroyed her curls. After that color service she attempted to box dye it back to a darker color. As you can see, her hair was in need or repair and moisture.

She did an amazing job at caring for her hair at home and coming in for regular trims and treatments. And slowly but surely, her curls are getting back to their natural pattern.

PATIENCE. IS. KEY! 🙌

Let's talk about color and curls 🎨

In order keep your locks happy and hydrated, you need to first consider the work that goes into the maintenance process.

Like with everything, maintenance will look different for every person. Here a few things to take into consideration when thinking about color:

• How long do you want to live with your new color? Is this a one time thing that you will grow out? Or maybe you want this look for a year?

•What will it take on your part to maintain your hair healthy and vibrant at home? This could mean deep conditioning, purple shampoo, or color shampoo.

• How frequently are you able to make it to the salon? Will this require a retouch every 4 weeks? Or are you looking for something low maintenance?

• And how will this affect the integrity of your hair? Will this require bond maintenance or in-salon conditioning treatments?

All of these are things to consider when exploring your color options and they are great things to discuss with your stylist during your consultation prior to your color service 😊
