Building and opening a salon during Covid was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, actually who am I kidding, THE HARDEST THING-countless sleepless nights filled with worry and self-doubt. Am I going to make it? Is this the right decision ? What if I fail? What if I fail my family ? Pouring in blood, sweat, tears and money all when the world felt so uncertain and nothing was guaranteed. Full transparency, I was really scared, REALLY SCARED, but also really determined.

After closing my first salon, and Bella Nova being my second, I finally made a promise to myself to choose patience over urgency. Bella Nova was going to be the best and it had to start with the team. Over the course of the several years that followed, one by one, I carefully hand-picked each stylist, with lots of reminders along the way to trust the process and don’t rush. Looking back, I didn’t even know what that meant at the time. Now, I can proudly say, the process meant building a team with intention, care, and passion for hair. I am forever grateful for this rockstar team.
