Wispies were the vain of my existence for sooo long 😫

I absolutely hated them, even after I did a wispy lash training.

I didn’t get it. I couldn’t understand it. And I wanted to be great right away. But sadly life doesn’t work like that 😔

But I didn’t let it get me down. I kept practicing. Kept taking models any chance I could get. Kept taking pictures even though I knew they were not good.

I’m a stubborn mf. I won’t let anything take me down, a kidnapper hates to come get me 😂😂

But now? It’s one of my favorite styles to do and I actually get it!!! I understand where my spikes go, how thick they should be, and how many to put.

If you’re struggling with lashing and think you will never get better, you will. That saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day” is true with everything. It takes time and consistency, don’t give up 🙏 •

Medications can change the natural lash so your lash prep should too 👀

If a client tells me she’s on a GLP-1 and I notice her natural lashes are drier, more porous, or more fragile than they used to be, this changes how I prep for her and what type of lashes I will use.

This is where product knowledge matters! 💯

Your prep is perfect. Your isolation is perfect. Your environment is perfect. But your retention still sucks… here’s what might be the issue 🤔

If your clients are coming in for two week fills looking like four weeks and you’ve checked everything, look at what’s holding your glue.

Flower cups are popular because they’re easy, disposable, and can help get you a skinny base. But when you wipe your fan out of the cup, you could be wiping away so much glue without even realizing it. 😔

We need that glue. We love that glue. It’s literally what makes the lash stick. Too many artists are scared of using too much but too little is the real problem. When you wipe it all off before it even gets to the natural lash, it’s going to pop off so much faster.

I always use glue trays when I teach the Flower Bouquet technique. They let gravity help open up the fan and give you way more control over how much glue you’re actually picking up. You can still wipe off excess but you’re the one deciding how much stays. Not the cup. 🙅‍♀️

Multi dimensional curls from Lashbox LA Pro 🩵

My client came in for lash extensions to get her ready for her wedding day 💍 she HATEDDD the feeling of strip lashes & wanted something that wouldn’t bother her.

When I was creating a custom set for her, I noticed she had a pretty prominent brow bone so I didn’t want to do anything super curly on her. I wanted something that came up & out rather than up & back because it would hit her eyebrow.

She wanted something full but also spikey so I opted for the LC curl for my spikes & C curl flower power lashes for my fans 🌸 she is ready for her wedding day ☺️

How I created this textured set 🦄

I always start with the wispy lashes first:
I use my tape and lift up the eyelid a bit to be able to see the top lash line better, this is where I put my thick, long purple lashes (color Nightshade from )

Then, I fill in the bottom and middle layer with .03 Flower Power lashes from because I want that dark lash line look. The lashes I put on the bottom layer are -2 compared to the top. These lashes are a true matte black to create that black out look that I wanted in this set 😏
