Seborrheic keratosis ablation with cautery and laser resurfacing offers a quick, minimally invasive alternative for appropriately selected facial lesions. Rather than performing a wide excision and rotational flap, we can use a combination of radiofrequency cautery and precision laser resurfacing to essentially ablate the lesion while simultaneously resurfacing the surrounding skin.
This case is shown at just 2 weeks post-procedure, with continued improvement expected as the skin heals and remodels. For the right patient, this can be performed as a convenient lunchtime procedure in our office, without the downtime and extensive surgical approach associated with larger excisions.
