Our New World with COVID-19. March 16 update from ABMP and Ruth Werner Dear ABMP members, Thank you for reaching out to us over the past couple of days as COVID-19 escalates. Last week, our conversations circulated around massage therapy hygiene protocols and ensuring safe space for clients. Today, waves of heightened CDC warnings, associated closures, and suspensions....

Hi everyone, I hope this post finds you well and safe. I take my client's health very seriously. My office is closed this week and I will reevaluate Sunday based on the ever changing information. I have many clients in several of these categories, along with clients that work with patients in the most vulnerable populations. My disinfecting policies will increase from using normal grade disinfecting wipes to medical grade peroxide wipes on all hard surfaces and door k***s. My sheets are already washed and sanitized at above industry standard and I will be sending any client home that displays any of the following symptoms:

Runny nose (not associated with seasonal allergies)
Cough
Chest congestion
Fever (even low grade)

We all need to think about the most vulnerable populations right now. Thank you for understanding and I hope you are safe and well with enough supplies. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 720-261-4760. Looking forward to seeing you after the madness of this pandemic.
