I’ll be hosting a canned food drive this year at the studio.
Please bring any no perishable food items to your next appointment or if you want to drop something off if you’re around.
As someone who once was on SNAP I know how hard it can be just to get food. I want to help our community in need. I’d be forever grateful if you could join me in feeding our community.
You can bring in your canned goods from November 4th- December 1st. All proceeds will go to the Community ministry food bank.
Most wanted items are
- [ ] Canned meats
- [ ] Canned fruits
- [ ] Canned Vegetables
- [ ] Rice
- [ ] Oatmeal
- [ ] Peanut Butter
- [ ] Jelly
- [ ] Holiday items (stuffing etc)

What does multiple sessions mean and why does it matter?
We’ve all been there you bring in your Pinterest picture only to leave with it not looking like what you had hoped.
Why ? There’s multiple steps to getting your goal hair. Factors like what is on your hair , previous colors, condition etc.
Usually from going dark to light I recommend multiple sessions over time. How many sessions depends on your goals and the condition of your hair.
Can we do it in one day? We could but we’d be at the salon forever and your hair might be on the floor……
The goal is to have your hair in the best condition possible and get you close to your goal . So sit back relax and enjoy the journey to being lighter .

How to get a textured looking curl.
If you have fine hair flip upside down and spray a texture spray 3-4 inches away from your hair all over.
Clip hair up into a horseshoe shaped section.
Take 1-2” sections and spray with a soft hairspray.
Start by curling away from your face with a 1 1/4” - 1 1/2” barrel curling iron or wand. In the front but leaving out 1/2” of your ends.
You can then alternate the curls towards or away from the face or have them all going back.
Spraying each section with a light amount of hairspray.
Let cool then brush out with your fingers or brush.

Just show up how you are.
You don’t need to get dressed up to get your hair done. You don’t need makeup and you definitely don’t need to apologize for anything.
You want to yapp about how unicorns are real? Cool.
You just wanna chill because work stressed you out all week? Cool.
You want to show me your dogs’ phot shoot? Cool cool!
Point is you don’t need to perform for me. I’m just glad you’re here.
I don’t just do one type of color or one type of cut.
Styles, moods and self expression are always changing.
You’re hair can be what you feel in a season or your signature look. We can always adjust slightly or go for a big change.
If you want a change but aren’t sure where to start feel free to ask me or send me some inspiration pictures.
I just want you to be able to express yourself in whatever way makes you feel beautiful.
What does toner, gloss, or glaze even mean ?
A toner or aka a gloss is usually a demipermanent color that alters the color of the hair but also fades out with little demarcation.(line)
Uh so what is that ?🙄
A toner changes tone or neutralizes un wanted tones.
If you get your hair lightened chances are you’ve had a toner unless your the 1% who lifts perfectly and doesn’t need it.
Whenever hair is lightened it will be red , orange or yellow . The toner can cancel these colors out or enhance them .
The toner will fade over time. Typically after 4/6 weeks you’ll need a toning refresh or some sort of toning shampoo or conditioner to maintain your look.

Three ways to style your s**g bob.
1. Let it air dry- Use a sea salt spray and scrunch and let your natural texture takeover.
2. Blow out the hair straight- Use a leave in conditioner spray and oil to get a sleek finish.
3. Curl - Loosely curl a few pieces away from the face with 1 1/4” curling iron. Finger loosen the curls and spray a dry wax for un done texture.

Three things to remember when going blonder…
1)Blonde hair is more fragile when wet . Make sure you’re using a detangler and brushing or coming gently.
2)Use a hair mask once a week. This will help seal your cuticle and help the hair remain healthy.
3) Turn down your hot tool setting. No need for the highest heat setting. Turn it down to avoid damage.
