The goal of every appointment is beautiful hair you really want and love. Sometimes, we can get there fast, one appointment and ta-daa✨ Other times, it’s all about long-term goals✨ This may be for a number of reasons: hair cannot withstand the process, existing color cannot be shifted immediately (it’s nothing like coloring on paper), one appointment is simply not enough time, needed services, time, or hair care are not in your plan, etc. My goal for our consultation then becomes about grounding expectations in reality through honest communication, patience, and mutual trust. This will make it possible for you to have better results, and healthier, beautifulier hair.💛

How would you like to be a highlighted brunette?🤎 Overall a brunette, with just enough custom placed brighter strands, only light enough to emphasize the beauty of your natural hair and complexion.

If you’ve been disappointed with too many and too bright highlights, fading, brassiness, liters of purple shampoo, confusion…, give yourself a gift of being listened to by a stylist who genuinely cares about your unique look and hair, and come see me🤎

🌟Hair tip: periodically clean all your brushes and clips! Otherwise, you’re just transferring products residue and sebum/oil residue between your hair and brush. Your hair will stay clean longer, you’ll reduce static, and you’ll have better styling results.

How often?
•Wet brush and any -clips- you use on unwashed hair between the washes: clean inside the shower with each hair wash. Takes extra 30 seconds.
•Other brushes: depends on how often you use them and your available time. Once a week or month is great, but if ain’t nobody got time for that, do what you can!

How?
•Wet brush and clips used on unwashed hair: Clean out hair before wetting, then rinse well and scrub with hand to prep. Use shampoo suds off your hair and quickly scrub with hand between the bristles. Rinse before brushing in conditioner. Don’t forget to also rinse after conditioner.
•The rest of the brushes and clips:
Clean out the hair. Dedicate small dish brush and use dish detergent to wash well between the bristles. Rinse and wrap in towel to absorb excess moisture, then let it dry (paddle brushes with bristles down) before storing.
•Brushes with handles made of natural materials such as wood need gentler care.

Hair in picture.
•Today we only did a small haircut to keep ends strong. These bright blonde highlights were done 3.5 months ago! They still blend beautifully at the root due to combination of T’s natural medium blonde color, my highlighting technique, and T’s great at-home hair care routine.

I wish I had her gorgeous strong hair🤩 This kind of color is one of my specialties: dimensional blonde highlights that softly blend with your natural root and seamlessly flow into a burst of brightness on the ends! The result is natural looking blonde hair that stays beautiful even as it grows out. If you’re looking for a hairstylist near Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, or surrounding areas, I’d love to custom create something special for you as well💛

You will never find me waiting with a bowl of pre-mixed hair color when you arrive to our appointment✨

My approach to you as a unique person is mirrored in my approach to our every appointment: personal, thoughtful, and tailored to you. We’ll begin each one with a consultation - no matter how many times you’ve sat in my chair. Why? Because we’re always moving through seasons of life, always changing, even if just subtly so. What felt right last time might need adjusting now.

Part of my consultation is checking in on how your last color, cut, or product has served you, and offering suggestions. The other part is listening closely, sometimes beyond words, to catch what you may need, even if you’re not quite putting it into words yet.

This is what makes every appointment feel fresh, personal, and worth looking forward to✨

Soft hot iron waves - my favorite quick way to deepfake a full blowout! (your girl’s been watching a spy series on Netflix😄) Easy and fun, they add movement and volume, especially on fine or flat hair. Plus, the waves show off dimensional color beautifully, like this shiny rich coppery blonde🧡
The trick is -not- to overthink it, and not to overcurl. A few other tips:
▫️Apply heat protectant to entire length, plus your favorite volumizer
▫️Dry your hair completely
▫️Use a larger 1.25” or 1.5” iron
▫️Grab bigger chunky sections - no tiny slices
▫️Curl only some hairs, not every strand
▫️Texture spray on the roots, tousle, light hairspray, hair toss in the mirror, and go✨

Brightened this beautiful momma’s long hair 1 month before new baby arrives💕 My clients and I tend to agree that refreshing hair color and cut right before a medical event, whether it’s giving birth or surgery, helps you feel better when going through a potentially vulnerable time. It is just that extra little pick-me-up for boost of positive energy during recovery✨✨✨
