As Buccal Massage becomes more of a sought after technique in aesthetics, let’s be careful to BE HONEST ABOUT CLAIMS!
I say this in my classes all the time… Please do not make medical claims. That includes educating clients on what you are doing. That also includes your posts on social media. I have seen it over and over again where therapist/teachers are claiming that they can perform facelift type results with their hands. Even if you’re really good, making that claim is wrong and highly inaccurate. When my clients leave my table, they may feel as if they have had work done, but I never talk about my work in this way. I mean, does your massage therapist claim that they can give you an instant BBL or remove your muffin top?

Side note - I have rosacea, which was flaring in those photos and why my nose is so red and irritated. That is back under control now and my skin is looking better than ever!
As an Esthetician and skin care formulator, it is often hard to explain to people why I wanted or felt I needed to get a facelift…especially when skin is my job. The fact that my face is aging is not a failure on my part, or anyone’s failure who sees physical aging and chooses surgery. It is also not a failure of skincare or not being able to age “gracefully”…f # that. It is a very personal choice and it’s definitely not for everyone, but for me, I fully understood that if I wanted to correct the structural demise of my face 🤪🤣 that surgery was the only real solution. I realize that some people do not approve of or agree that cosmetic surgery is an option for correcting the effects of aging, but I don’t think it’s anyone’s place to judge. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY RESULTS!
