Tried out a new shop dog last week.

Anna was friendly, mostly welcoming and always snuggly. Except towards the new mailman. 🤔
Worked long days and hardly complained ❤️

Well, this was a pretty awesome surprise to find out on my lunch break today...

First, thank you to everyone who voted. Every vote, every share, every referral, and every haircut over the years helped make this possible.

I've spent most of my life in the hair industry, thanks in large part to my mom. She taught me not only the craft, but the value of treating people well. This award feels like a celebration of that legacy as much as it does anything I've accomplished myself.

That's what this award means to me. It's a reflection of the community we've built together and a reminder that so many of you have become more like family over the years. As we celebrate 16 years on Main Street here in Longmont, I'm especially grateful for the support and friendships that have made this journey possible.

A barber shop is about more than haircuts. For many people, it's a "third place"—not home and not work, but somewhere they can connect, share stories, celebrate good news, work through hard times, and simply be part of a community. I'm grateful that so many of you have chosen Deluxe Barbers to be that place.

And thank you to my family—especially Mom—who was apparently celebrating this win before I even knew about it myself. ❤️

I'm incredibly grateful, and yes... I'm probably going to enjoy these bragging rights for a while. 😄

Do you recognize this bearded gentleman? He's been a business owner in downtown Longmont for the last 45 years. 🤯

Ron's eventual retirement is inevitable. He has served Longmont well for more than half of his life. He's hard to catch in the shop these days but if you are lucky enough to see him in there - stop by and say hi. 👋🏻💕

Alfred is the oldest person that I have ever had the pleasure of cutting. He celebrated his 100th birthday last month!
He says it's just luck - I think it's his positive outlook on life that keeps him rolling everyday. 💗

This is Rex. He's my oldest client at 91 years old. 👴🏼

The first time he came to Deluxe, he casually showed up at the door with his walker during a snow storm. He just decided to take the bus and a walk downtown to find himself a haircut that day. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I ushered him inside, wrapped his hands in hot towels and I've had the honor of taking care of him ever since.❤️

Teresa will be working Susan's schedule as is until we get through all of the pre-bookings. Depending on how recovery goes, adjustments to the schedule may occur in the future.

We've been through this before and came out the other side stronger than ever, but get well cards seem to have a profound effect on the healing process. 😉❤️
