I see a healthy scalp with no excess tension. I see section sizes that were carefully chosen to support the weight of the extensions without overloading the natural hair. I see clean stitching that still lays flat weeks later. I see minimal shedding and healthy grow-out.

These are the details that tell me an install was done with intention.

One of the biggest misconceptions about extensions is that the final result is all that matters. In reality, the install is what determines how your extensions wear over the next several weeks and how well your natural hair is protected throughout the process.

Every client who sits in my chair has different hair density, scalp elasticity, growth patterns, and goals. That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every install is customized to create a foundation that is beautiful, comfortable, and supports the long-term health of your natural hair.

I need my front breaks replaced, who do y’all recommend for a mechanic?!

Why did I place a solid blonde weft on the front section of her bottom row?

Because that’s where her face frame lives.

For this client, we wanted a bright, bold face frame that softly melted into the rest of her color as it reached the crown. Before I ever start installing, I already have a plan in my head.

I knew two things:

✨ She wanted her face to stay as bright as possible from the roots all the way through the ends. A beautiful face frame shouldn’t stop around your cheekbones. It should carry through the entire look so everything feels seamless.

✨ We also wanted to keep soft, natural dimension throughout the back so her color still had movement and depth instead of looking flat.

So here’s what made the most sense for her:

• I folded my corners so when she wears her hair up, you won’t see a darker weft sitting where her bright face frame should be.

• I placed a solid blonde weft along the front section of the row to keep that brightness consistent without bringing too much dimension right next to her face.

These are the little details most people never notice, but they’re the reason an extension install looks custom instead of looking like someone simply added hair.
