Sometimes foreign installs come in and I’m left utterly confused. I wish I could ask the reasons for the stylist choices.

And do you want to know what the craziest part of this install was??

She didn’t even have enough hair on each row to cause damage from to much weight. Any damage that occurred was from beads and her stitching pattern. Being wonky.

We were able to take both her rows and combine them into 1. Wish blended MUCH better, and with proper installation she will be damage free from here on out!

Not every stylist has the knowledge or skill set to work on those with thin and fine hair. And THATS OKAY, but what’s not okay is continueing to do something that is causing damage.

Fine and thin hair takes a special stylist. One who knows why they are doing it and the purpose behind their actions and thoughts. Someone with education and skills that have been learned that helps sole and doesn’t contribute to the problem.

Thin hair and fine hair CAN support extensions. It’s about knowing how to place them and disturb the weight correctly. When to be honest about the expectations and limits with what there hair can sustain and having hard boundaries if they try to convince you otherwise.

I deal with new clients who come in with issues and bald spots due to repeated install or “fixes” do to slipping on there thin hair. And 90% of the time re installing with actual purpose and understanding saves them. Not only will there hair continue to grow what was pulled out but they will be able to keep there extensions in.
