So, what exactly is cryogen? Cryogen is a cooling agent used during laser hair removal to cool the skin’s surface before each laser pulse.

It’s an important part of treatment because it helps protect the surrounding skin from excessive heat while also making the treatment comfortable.

Every laser has its own cooling method depending on the technology it uses. With my Candela GentleMax Pro, cryogen is sprayed directly onto the skin just before the laser pulse to cool the treatment area.

I think sometimes we forget that we’re allowed to take a break before we completely burn ourselves out.

I booked this trip to Acadia about 3–4 weeks ago, already knowing I had clients booked that week. And if you know me, you know I RARELY ask anyone to reschedule because I feel so bad about it. But something in me just knew I needed this. I needed to get out of Florida, experience Boston & Maine for the first time, be surrounded by nature, slow down, and just breathe.

I haven’t taken a trip like this in over a year since starting my business. I always thought trips were something you took to reward yourself after working hard, but sometimes you don’t need to earn the break. Sometimes you just need it.

Taking time to recharge, get out of your routine, quiet your mind, and simply take in the moment can make such a difference. I came back feeling refreshed, inspired, and honestly just more like myself.

A reminder that taking care of yourself doesn’t always mean doing more. Sometimes it means stepping away for a little while and letting your soul catch up. 🤎🌿
