Please join us in welcoming Lanyah Eisenbrown to The Smarter Service team! 🎉
Lanyah joins us as a Technology Concierge and will be supporting residents at BHI Senior Living’s The Towne House and Prairie Landing communities in Fort Wayne, IN, two of our amazing community partners.
With a background in cybersecurity, cybercrime, and hands-on IT support, Lanyah brings strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping others. Through her experience supporting students, faculty, and staff with technology challenges, she discovered how rewarding it can be to make technology feel less intimidating and more accessible.
She’s excited to help older adults build confidence with technology, stay connected, and get more out of the devices and tools they use every day.
When she’s not helping others navigate technology, you’ll likely find her gaming, keeping up with the latest tech trends, or building in The Sims 4.
We’re excited to have Lanyah on board and look forward to the impact she’ll make for residents at The Towne House and Prairie Landing.

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸 Are you heading out to watch the fireworks tonight? If you’ve ever tried to take a picture of a firework, you know it usually ends up looking like a blurry, colorful smudge on a black screen.
Here is our favorite Tech Tip for tonight:
Stop trying to time the perfect photo. Instead, switch your camera to Video Mode! 📹
Hit record, let the video run for a minute or two, and just enjoy the show with your own eyes. Later, you can watch the video back, pause it on the perfect explosion, and take a screenshot!

With a background in coding, business analytics, IT, and technology support, Jared is passionate about helping people feel more comfortable and confident with technology. He has a talent for breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand solutions and is excited to help older adults make the most of their devices and digital tools.
When he’s not working with technology, you’ll likely find him enjoying video games, board games, animation, or running a Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

Today commemorates June 19, 1865; the day the final enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom, marking a pivotal moment in our nation's history. Because this day wasn't in many of our history books growing up, today is a wonderful opportunity to use our technology to learn something new!
