Just Jena

This is 13! 🧁🎉🌈💙💖

Welp 🥹 for the first time ever our babies will be heading to separate schools. ⁣
⁣
We are so incredibly grateful for the last 8 years at Viewpoint. Ella has made some amazing friends, has benefitted greatly from her teachers and the extraordinary education. But as our kids grow up we are more aware of how different twins can be and Ella has been forthcoming with her wish to start a new chapter. ⁣
⁣
This Fall, Ella will be starting anew at Sierra Canyon and joining their 8th grade class! She is thrilled to be back with her bestie, meet new friends and take advantage of all the school has to offer. Mom hasn’t quite figured out how she’s getting two kids to two schools at the same time each day 😂 but the smile on this girl’s face when she found out she was admitted will make it all worth it!⁣
⁣
But perhaps the most exciting for Ella is the opportunity to establish a new identity - as she said, “ i won’t be Dylan’s sister at school; I’ll just be me.” And we think that’s fabulous…”just me” is exactly what we want and love about her!⁣
⁣
Cheers 🥂 to new beginnings, to establishing yourself as “just me” and loving that and to many more memories as a Trailblazer!⁣

We don’t remember days, we remember moments. ⁣
⁣
When we were kids, my mom would blast Barry Manilow in the car and in the house. When we were in high school and college, you could catch her watching old VHS or DVDs of his concerts on our television at home. I know every word to every song he’s made and have a memory for each as well. He was a part of our family. ⁣
⁣
Five years ago I made this tank top for his last concert at the Forum in LA because I too have become a 🤩 and now I am bringing it back out and packing her up to head to Vegas!⁣
⁣
Barry Manilow is my mom’s favorite performer of all time. At 78 years old, we have no idea how many more concerts he will put on so when my mom called a few months ago to share that he was back to live concerts, Jon Margalit and I thought it would be the perfect surprise gift for her. The perfect opportunity to see her smile, sing along and enjoy what may be one of his last runs. ⁣
⁣
Mom, Annette Schenley, it’s time to start planning your ultimate FANILOW outfit because Jon and I are taking you to see Barry NEXT WEEK!! And we know you hate bad seats, so we decided to treat you to only the best and will be sitting SECOND ROW!! Yep, close enough to see him up close and enjoy the magic that is a Manilow concert!⁣
⁣
We can’t wait to spoil you for an early Mother’s Day!! SURPRISE!!!⁣
⁣
*This post is how Mom will find out!*⁣

Let’s talk DRY + DULL skin.

I use the best skincare on the market. And even after using it for years, I still need it to maintain hydrated + youthful-looking skin.

Skin is ever changing. Not only do we age, what most people don’t realize is that our skin has a cellular turnover rate of about 40-60 days depending on your age. (One of the main reasons we offer a 60 day money back guarantee is because we want you to use the products for the entire turnover process so you can actually SEE long term results from the products you’re using.)

For me, I’ve used these products long enough to not only notice long term results, but to also notice IMMEDIATE results. My skin is dry super dry. And one of the my fave parts of the day is washing my face, applying my products and instantly feeling and looking refreshed, hydrated and glowy.

If the products you’re using now aren’t offering you both immediate AND long term results, you’re using the wrong stuff.

If you love what you use, great! Don’t change. If you’re looking for better, I can help. Click the link in my bio to take a free, 2-min skin quiz that uses artificial intelligence and facial analytics to make a unique skincare recommendation based on your skin and needs.

This girl is taking TWO silver medals 🥈 back to California tomorrow! ⁣
⁣
The months of practices, weeks of extra practices (16+ hours in the gym weekly), dedication and hard work have paid off! Being recognized as 2nd in the country at one of the biggest cheerleading competitions out there is no small endeavor. I am so proud of this girl and of all the athletes from Cali All Stars Jr Black and Addiction!!⁣
⁣
Now off to celebrate at 😍⁣
⁣

Cheers 🥂 to all of the beautiful, confident, inspiring, strong, intelligent women. I see you. I hear you. I celebrate you today and every day ❤️

Another weekend, another cheer competition 📣⁣
⁣
The life ain’t for the weak, I tell ya. The 5am wake up all weekend was rough, but watching my girl on the mat a few hours later makes it all worth it. Even with a hamstring injury, she refused to sit out this weekend and do what she could do help her teams in their continued fight for the coveted bid! ⁣
⁣
I freakin LOVE this sport. I love the time I get to spend the with Ella driving all around the state and flying across the country (Florida next month!), I love that SHE loves it and I love that she has truly learned the value of hard work, team work and resilience in this sport. ⁣I love that she has met new friends each season, some whom she may have never met outside of this sport and some who will be standing next to her at her wedding and beyond because of their shared love of this sport. I love that she has made me a CHEER MOM (so I had to snag the sweatshirt when I saw it) and I hold that title close to my heart. And if you’re a cheer mom or have been in the past, you know how special this sport and this season is and what it can do for our young athletes, both mentally and physically. ⁣
