Dr. George Sanders is a highly skilled board-certified plastic surgeon. Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Sanders graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rice University.

He lives in Southern California with his wife and children and he is active in church and community affairs. Dr. Sanders is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. One thing I always remind new moms is that planning a mommy makeover isn’t just about when your body is ready for surgery. It’s also about when you can give yourself the time to recover properly.
If you’ve got little ones at home, remember that lifting and carrying them will be off-limits for a while, especially after a tummy tuck. Having some extra help around the house can make quite a difference.
I know that’s easier said than done when you’re a mom! But planning for recovery is just as important as planning the surgery itself.
A natural-looking breast augmentation has a lot less to do with choosing a certain implant size and a lot more to do with choosing the right implant for you.
I’m looking at your frame, chest width, existing breast tissue, and the amount of fullness you’d like to add. Put all of that together, and you get a result that fits the patient rather than simply fitting a number.
Those final few minutes before surgery are all about creating and maintaining a sterile environment. 🧼
Before putting on the gown you see here, I perform a surgical scrub, carefully cleaning my hands and forearms to reduce microorganisms that could contaminate the field.
A member of the OR team then helps me into a sterile gown and gloves without contaminating them, allowing me to safely enter the sterile field and handle surgical instruments.
Meanwhile, the team is preparing the patient and surgical site, confirming equipment, and reviewing the plan. Before we begin, we complete a surgical “time-out” to confirm the patient, procedure, surgical site, and other important safety details.
Rest assured, I’m thinking about your scar long before I ever make an incision. Where it sits and how long it needs to be really comes down to your anatomy and how much loose skin we’re addressing.
And remember, the scar you see at six weeks isn’t the scar you’ll have forever. It will continue to flatten, soften, and fade over the months that follow.

The biggest difference between open and closed rhinoplasty really comes down to access.
With an open approach, a small incision between the nostrils allows me to see the underlying structures more directly. With a closed approach, the incisions stay inside the nose, but my visibility is more limited.
The right choice depends on your anatomy and what we’re trying to accomplish. When more complex reshaping or greater precision is needed, that extra visibility with an open approach can be very helpful.
