HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! 🧡
To every Dad out there — with us and not with us, birth dads, stepdads, foster dads, adoptive dads, animal dads, father figures, the gentlemen who stepped up when someone else's dad didn't, and the single moms carrying the weight for both — I see you. Thank you for all the good you bring and brought into this world.
And to anyone for whom Father's Day stirs something heavy — grief, complicated feelings, a void that never quite fills — I'm sending you love today too.
My dad left us in 1993. In 2021 I coded and had a near-death experience. I didn't see him, but I heard him. We talked — really talked — caught up on everything that had happened in the 28 years since he'd been gone. And then he told me it wasn't my time yet. That I still had important things to do. And he sent me back.
That conversation is a gift I carry every single day.
Happy Father's Day, Pops. Miss you. Thank you for making me, for the love and the lessons... and for talking me back to life. Love you, Dad. 🖤

Happy Heavenly Mother's Day, Mom. Thank you for everything you put up with, for making me who I am, and for all the people in my life I get to call friends because of you. For always trying to keep me on a good path — even when it wasn't easy. Not quite a year gone, and you are so missed. But I'm always trying to make you proud.

To all your moms — thank you for giving me such incredible friends. To every friend who is a mom: new and seasoned, moms of humans, fur babies, and feathered ones, single dads pulling double duty, those who stepped up when others couldn't, and everyone out there loving a child who needed it — you are all so amazing to me.

You deserve far more than any post or lifetime could ever express. Your thankless, never-ending work does not go unnoticed, even when it feels like it does. God bless you for the selfless, unconditionally loving sacrifices you make every day for your babies.

And some extra love and strength today to those who are missing their moms like I am — for anyone who finds this day a little harder to get through. You are not alone.
