Hair growth has never been one size fits all, and neither is the way I care for my clients.

Not every visit needs to be a full haircut. Sometimes all your hair needs is a little dusting to remove fragile ends before they turn into bigger problems, paired with scalp-focused treatments that support a healthy environment for the hair you’re growing.

I’ve never loved charging everyone the same way just because that’s the industry standard. I believe in creating a plan that makes sense for your goals, your hair, and your budget.

That’s why I create custom protocols, not just custom botanicals.

If your goal is longer, healthier hair, let’s talk. Whether that’s regular dusting, red light therapy, scalp care, or a combination that’s right for you, I’d rather create an intentional plan than have you pay for services you don’t need.

I’m curious…

What’s something you’ll probably spend your whole life getting better at—not because you have to, but because you genuinely love it? Stop asking,

“What if I fail?”

“What if I never become the person I’m capable of being?”

That question changed my life.

This might look like a hair post, but it isn’t.

I’ve been doing hair since high school.

While everyone else was finishing their senior year, I was behind the chair at my mom’s salon, Cut Masters. People thought something had gone wrong.

Nothing had gone wrong.

I simply knew where I belonged.

My mom came to this country with nothing, learned English, became a hairstylist, and taught me that success isn’t about fitting into someone else’s mold. It’s about having the courage to build your own.

Years later, I went to UC Santa Barbara, earned my bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and thought I was going to become a therapist.

Then one day I realized…

I already was.

Just in a different way.

That’s why the first thing you’ll read when you visit my website is, “Welcome to Hairapy.”

For over two decades, I’ve realized people don’t just sit in my chair for their hair. They come because they need someone to listen. Someone to encourage them. Someone to remind them they’re beautiful, capable, and worthy of taking care of themselves.

Hair has always been the beginning of the conversation, never the whole story.

After postpartum, that purpose grew into something even bigger. I started formulating botanical products by hand because I wanted people to experience healing from the scalp outward. Today I still stand behind the chair. I still handcraft every bottle. I still homeschool my daughters. I still choose people over perfection.

Do I dream of a bigger space one day?

Absolutely.

Not because I want something bigger.

Because I want something that serves bigger.

A place where families feel welcome. Where moms can finally exhale. Where children feel inspired to create. Where products are made with intention, not shortcuts. Where community matters more than volume.

If you’re in a season where you’re questioning your path, don’t chase what looks successful.

Chase what gives you purpose.

Purpose will carry you through the days when motivation disappears.

And whatever you choose to do, do it with integrity.

Honesty is how I walk.

This moment feels surreal.

If you know me, then you know I’ve spent most of my life trying to get my dad’s art seen. An immigrant, an aircraft draftsman in Iran, a taxi driver for decades in America, and an artist whose talent was often overlooked because life got in the way.

Watching him at 82 years old with tears in his eyes as he saw himself on Fox 11 for the very first time is something I’ll never forget.

From community festivals, to Art Expo New York, to Art Basel Miami, and now here. This journey is proof that it’s never too late, and that you should never give up on your dreams.

Art connects us. Art heals. Art tells stories that words sometimes can’t.

This year’s exhibit even included a wall dedicated to resilient women—the ones who keep going no matter what. Amanda, thank you for helping share his story and for being one of those women yourself.

Most of all, thank you, Dad, for never giving up. And maybe for once, thank you to myself for not giving up on him either. ❤️
