Some things you might be missing and why your not losing weight and what you can do about it.

We've all heard the phrase, you are what you eat. I actually hate that phrase. but it's true. It's impossible for a person who eats, lean protein sources, veggies, and healthy fats to typically be over weight or have lifestyle diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure or cholesterol. We should pay attention. I wanna share with you some things I share with my clients to ensure results.

If you've been putting in gym time and eating healthy and not seeing results here's a few reasons why that might be.

1. You think of exercise as a form of weight loss, you exercise to lose weight. In fact it would be beneficial if you think of workouts as a way to get stronger, fitter, have more energy. Remove the thought that exercise produces weight loss. You'll hate it and won't get results, your working harder not smarter. Your going against it. Here's an affirmation: Easy Does It.

2. You think you eat clean but you really don't. You might have portion distortion. You might not just yet know what really is a healthy amount of food, calories or portions . This might be unknown to you and you are going by the same mindset that got you to your weight gain to begin with. I suggest you connect with a coach, get a book , take a workshop that talks about portions, calories , food labels and eating out. You'll see major changes!

3. You workout and you think you work out more than you really are and it's enough.

Chances are you're not. Most people don't. That's why I mentioned above to forget that weight loss is associated to working out. I work out 5 days a week with weights, 5 days of cardio on top of that, and I pay close attention to what goes in my mouth. That's how it works, it's a balance of all. You if one is off especially the nutrition piece, be ready to maintain your weight.

4. Reason 4 You're frustrated and you always turn into a victim about why you deserve to eat this or that. It's ok if you CHOOSE to have something, when you're working toward a fitness goal, weight loss, muscle gain. You must follow a protocol. You can't just be a victim. Or you'll stay stuck. Work with someone who can help you create a plan that works with your lifestyle and have them keep you accountable. That yields great results!

Here are 4 major tips that can yield you great results. Don't quit, work your way up. Start daily implementing something new, small mindset changes equal long term results. If you keep thinking of everything you can't eat, your mind doesn't know the difference, it really thinks you want all that. Begin slowly by changing your mindset. My clients get great results because I really instill these concepts. Healthy mind + healthy body. It's not a race, it's lifestyle changes and those take time. Be kind and loving with yourself, it took me 4 years to get my results. I still follow all these guidelines.
