That extra pump is tempting. Especially when your skin feels dry and you want to give it a little more love. šŸ’š

But before adding more serum, I’d check how you’re using it.

Clean skin. The recommended amount. A gentle application. And dry or damp skin? That depends on your serum - not a universal skincare rule you saw online.

For dry, sensitive midlife skin, I want the routine to feel manageable, not like another thing to get ā€œperfect.ā€

Save this for your next skincare evening. And tell me honestly: do you follow the amount on the bottle, or add a little extra ā€œjust in caseā€? 😊

Bakuchiol doesn’t need to borrow retinol’s name to earn a place in your routine.

I understand why ā€œnatural retinolā€ caught on. It’s familiar. But it also makes two different ingredients sound interchangeable.

When I’m choosing ingredients for dry, sensitive, midlife skin, I’m not looking for the closest copy of something else. I’m asking: what does this ingredient offer, and how does the whole formula support the skin using it?

That’s the thinking behind superRenew: 0.5% bakuchiol alongside CoQ10, sea buckthorn, rosehip and squalane oils, in a fragrance-free formula.

Not a retinol impersonator. A formula with its own purpose. šŸ’š

Had you heard of bakuchiol by its own name - or only as ā€œnatural retinolā€?

ā€œMy skin is changingā€ doesn’t have to mean ā€œI need an entirely new shelf.ā€ šŸ’™

Sometimes, it’s a reason to pause and be more thoughtful about what you’re using.

I love how she puts it: being more intentional. That’s the thinking behind superPeptide- skincare made with changing midlife skin in mind, where the whole formula matters, not just the ingredient on the front.

And yes, I’m rather fond of the little blue bottle too. 😊

What’s one thing you’ve become more particular about in your skincare?

When I formulate for midlife skin, I think about the whole formula.

For superPeptide, that meant pairing 1% GHK-Cu copper peptide with Palmitoyl tripeptide-5 and choosing the ingredients around them just as carefully.

Ectoin, Centella, multi-molecular Hyaluronic acid are part of that thinking - with hydration, comfort and barrier in mind.

Every ingredient has a reason to be there. And every choice starts with the skin this serum is made for šŸ’™

Do you include copper peptide in your routine?
Tell me your experience with it.

Trying something new… out of my comfort zone šŸ™ƒ Please comment if you like this style of reel 🫶

But coming back to what I wanted to say:

Once you reach midlife, the advice can start sounding like a shopping list. Another serum. A stronger active. One more step.

As a founder, my question is simpler: what is each product actually doing for your skin?

A longer routine isn’t automatically a better one. And a product doesn’t earn its place just because it says ā€œnaturalā€ or leaves your face feeling squeaky clean.

I’m not against actives. I’m for a thoughtful routine where every step has a purpose—and your skin feels comfortable with it.

Which of these have you heard most?

1ļøāƒ£ More products as you age
2ļøāƒ£ Natural is always better
3ļøāƒ£ Tight means clean

Tell me your number. šŸ’š

What does ā€œBiomimeticā€ actually mean for your skin?

It sounds technical, but the idea is simple: take cues from how skin naturally works.

Think of ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, copper peptides, CoQ10- all naturally found in our skin cells.
They are one example of how understanding skin can guide the ingredients we choose.

As a Formulator creating for midlife skin, this is where I start: what does changing skin need, and how can the whole formula support it?

That thinking is at the heart of Pure & Cimple.šŸ’š

What skincare term would you like me to explain next?

My 30-year-old self would be quite surprised that I’m enjoying my 50s. šŸ˜‚

Not because everything gets easier. But because I’m getting clearer about what deserves my time and what really doesn’t.

Seeing my friends. Trying something new without needing to be good at it. Resting without first completing every task known to mankind.

And skincare? I’m more interested in skin that feels comfortable than skin that looks like it belongs to someone else.

I can enjoy this chapter without loving every change. There’s room for both. šŸ’š

What do you enjoy more now than you did ten years ago?

A full skincare shelf can still leave you wondering what to use tonight.

If I were sorting mine, I wouldn’t start by asking what else I needed. I’d ask why each product was there.

Does my skin like it? Do I actually use it? Or am I keeping it because it was expensive — or looked convincing in someone else’s routine?

When our skin changes in midlife, it makes sense to take another look at what we’re using. No guilt about what we bought. No pressure to replace everything.

My goal wouldn’t be the smallest skincare routine. Just one where every product has a reason to stay.

Comment SHELF and I’ll send you my Keep, Pause or Toss checklist to work through your own collection. šŸ’š

By bedtime, you’ve done enough. Taking your makeup off shouldn’t feel like another project. šŸ’›

Here’s superLumine doing the evening shift: start on dry skin, massage gently for 30 seconds, then add a little water and massage until milky. Rinse thoroughly.

A simple cleansing ritual for those ā€œmakeup off, hair up, nobody needs anything else from meā€ evenings.

Are you taking your makeup off the moment you get home—or leaving it until the last possible minute? šŸ˜…

09/28/2026

ā€œIt’s amazing!ā€ Okay, but tell me what made you buy it again. šŸ’š

Was your skin less tight by lunchtime? Did you stop reaching for another layer? Or did you just love how it felt going on?

As a founder, those details mean more to me than a glowing first impression—especially when we’re talking about dry, sensitive midlife skin.

That’s the conversation I want us to have about moisturisers, including our own superSupple. Beyond the lovely texture: how does your skin feel as the day goes on?

Think of the last moisturiser you repurchased. What earned it a second bottle?
