FLAWless Face Makeup Artistry

Yesterday was my final graduation of 2026, where I officially received my Associate of Arts degree!

I know I’ve told y’all before… but I’m telling y’all again because I’m shouting it from the rooftops! I finished with a 3.74 GPA — Magna Cum Laude baby!

This was one of the most challenging years of my life. I completed college courses, Barber School, and a Scholars Program that required a 3.0 GPA or higher — all while facing extremely challenging personal struggles with family and life. But I kept showing up.

Before I thank myself, I have to thank God first. He is truly the source of my strength, and I could not have accomplished any of this without Him. I’m also proud of myself for showing up every day, even when it was hard.

Yesterday was a celebration for two! Thank you Lala for making me feel so special. Thank you to all my friends and family who supported me along the way.

Special shoutout to my Amiga Gabriella and my sweetheart Lala — you girls showed up for me!

I don’t know how, but with God I managed to complete Barber School, earn my Associate of Arts, and pursue scholar-level academics through the Black Scholars Program.

I’m officially completing my education and training from three different programs/institutions.

Next week will be my final graduation, where I receive my Associate degree with honors — a 3.74 GPA and Magna Cum Laude baby!!!

23+ years in the beauty industry and still evolving.
I am my own proof that it’s never too late.
All praises to God.

I’m grateful I was able to give back, connect with amazing women facing life’s challenges, and use my gift to remind them they are beautiful, worthy, and strong enough to keep moving forward.

Thanks to all the other self care artist that came through to support! We provided hair washing, haircutting, hair braiding and makeup services! Good job everyone!

They say pressure either breaks you or builds you. I’m proud to say it built me. 💫

Through sleepless nights, personal loss, financial instability, parenting struggles, self-doubt, heartbreak, and moments where I honestly didn’t know how I was going to keep going… I still showed up for myself.

Today, I was honored with Magna Cum Laude recognition and a Certificate of Excellence through the Umoja Black Scholars Program. As a first-generation college student, this moment means more than words can explain.

This journey was not easy. There were days I cried, days I wanted to quit, and days life felt heavier than I could carry. But I kept pushing. I kept believing. I kept fighting for a better future for myself and my son.

This moment is bigger than grades. It’s proof that resilience, faith, discipline, and determination can carry you through even the darkest seasons.
