After a super fun day at the LA County Fair on May 30th, we received a text from our property manager.
We knew right when saw the words “I have some not great news… please give me a call when you get a chance….” that we were going to be told the homeowners were selling the house and we would need to move out.
We had just moved in at the end of September. We hadn’t experienced a Summer there yet. We were looking forward to having friends over for water play and cookouts.
We loved that house. So to say we were heartbroken was an understatement. But we understood, especially when told something happened in their life that is causing them to sell.
And you’re probably like “well why didn’t YOU buy the house?” There’s a lot of nuisances into the situation that are too much to go into in a caption, but ultimately it wasn’t the right decision for our family at this time.
After lots of tears and stress, we decided that looking for a new rental immediately would be best, versus waiting out the remainder of our lease and trying to find a place in September. Let’s just say the rental market around here is competitive and expensive so getting a 3 bedroom for a decent price is practically unheard of and we didn’t want to miss out on anything.
And then we found one, a couple weeks later, and it’s in the same school zone (a VERY important detail because we love the community), bigger than our last house, with so many features that make it actually a better fit for our family.
We moved in on 6/26, less than a month after we got the initial call - we work fast haha
And now this new home has become our dream rental home!
Funny how things work out like that 🖤

It’s finally happening! After 8+ years in the digital marketing space creating endless amounts of content and executing marketing strategies for beauty business owners, I’ve officially branded myself.
🏔️Ridgework Digital Marketing 📲
Take social media, website & course creation and marketing off of your plate.
Because it’s either one of two things stopping you from getting it done:
1. You don’t have time for it
2. You don’t know how to do it
Let’s chat 🫶🏼
Building user-friendly websites for beauty professionals to showcase their skills, work and get in front of more potential clients… digital marketing & virtual assistance for small businesses is my passion!
found me through a free training I co-hosted with about Google Business profiles, and told me she had been sitting on her website creation for 6+ months because she just couldn’t do it herself.
I loved her vibe, the vision, and her beautiful permanent jewelry work, so it was an easy yes to take on this project!
🟠I have availability for ONE new website client - with options for creation or creation + on-going maintenance and support.🟠
I’ve worked with a bunch of different website hosting platforms and created entire websites from scratch, taken already built website and made improvements/adjustments, and done as-needed edits for existing clients.
Message me if you have tried making your website and just can’t figure it out.
I’ll take it off your hands! 🫶🏼🖤
And I sent one of my clients a heartfelt voicenote this morning about how grateful I am and how fortunate I feel to live this life 🥹
I may have to turn new clients away often and work 12-14 hrs per day, but what a problem to have!
Big shoutout to my clients for trusting me, including me in your businesses, and helping me build my own small business over the years.
It’s because of you that I’m able to work for myself from home, have a super flexible schedule that allows me to volunteer at my kids’ schools multiple times a week, drop them off and pick them up from school every day, be there for every practice and game, and travel with my family whenever we want to.
I may feel overwhelmed and burnt out, but at the end of the day I feel grateful more than anything 🖤
I’ll be launching my new branding soon - FINALLY! It’s only been 8 years of doing virtual assistance and digital marketing. Stay tuned 🫶🏼
The life of a mom 😊
I love the work that I do. And I love being present with my family. But this time of year, the marketing and social media stuff gets a little hectic - between Black Friday, Christmas, and New Years promotions, and also planning for 2026, I’m going the extra mile for my clients!
So needless to say, I usually end up working after the kids go to bed until around 1am on a regular day, but Nov & Dec just makes it all feel a little harder. But I’m grateful I found a career that I’m passionate about, is super flexible and allows me to be creative & help small business owners. So I can’t complain! But I can wish for more sleep 😴

Happy 8th wedding anniversary, and 17 years together 🖤 celebrating in one of our most favorite places with our little family!
[the longer you’re together, the shorter the captions - also because I only have 1 minute to make this post while managing 2 toddlers cutting & glueing paper and running around the playground.]

We finally made it back to one of our favorite places on earth: Stowe, Vermont 🖤
Took the kids to the spot where Mark proposed to me in 2016; we haven’t been back in almost 5 years and the kids have never been here. It was super emotional and surreal. And watching them play in the water down below made it even better 🥹
