The "Wise Woman". She possessed knowledge of healing herbs and botanicals, handed down through the generations. As a healer, the wise woman was usually the first stop for the average person when they were sick or had a health issue to address. Of course the wise woman may have been called a witch or a heretic and discouraged from practicing her art as women were not allowed a profession in the past. On the curing rack...another new scent. Marshmallow!! This one has yummy notes of juicy strawberries sweet marshmallow, and toasted coconut with a hint of freesia! Finally made this to match the perfume roller!

On the curing rack is a new one named "Haust", the old Norse word for Autumn or Harvest. And this scent beautifully captures some of the upcoming season. Admittedly, I wanted to make a sweet maple, pumpkin, & spice scented bar but the soap making process sometimes has its own agenda. What I got was notes of warm baked pie crust and toasted pecans with a very subtle hint of pumpkin & spice underneath. It's not your run of the mill fall pumpkin but a warm & toasty scent that I found to be quite comforting. The soapmaking process still fascinates me even after all these years!

The most esteemed council of crones has met, deliberated, and has chosen the winning name for the new pineapple scented rainbow soap...it shall from this day forward be known as "Kaleidosoap"! Coming this weekend to Escondido Ren faire!!

Huzzah! A new soap scent is on my curing rack right now and I need your help naming it!
Made with a sweet, tropical pineapple fragrance, this bar was playfully poured using my new palette of blacklight reactive pigments.
So go ahead and post your suggestions and the elder council of crones, myself included will select the best name.
