I’m going to be posting my Korean trip clinic details along with the amaaazing wellness visits I had but the MOST important exciting thing to me is getting to know my state of health better. I found myself getting emotional during a medical history intake because there has been so much difficult loss within my family and I began to think of friends who have gone through the same losses, even of loved ones the same age as my husband and I. I was overwhelmed with gratitude of where science is now and also felt so remorseful for how inaccessible these tests are for everyone back home in the US. Getting your blood metrics and finding out what your organs are reporting to you in actual quantifiable metrics will always impress me.

I’ve been to DOZENS of 올리브영 OLIVE YOUNG stores in Seoul and this one has got to be my favorite. It isn’t the biggest one but it is definitely the most fun. It is located inside the Gwangjang street food market, which is already amazing, and the theme of it is retro! Get ready for my list of what I love to pick up from 올리브영 OLIVE YOUNG because it is a doozy!

One of the biggest mistakes I see in aesthetics is treating every face shape the same.

Round, heart, and oval faces naturally become more rounded as they age. The tissues descend, the jawline softens, and fullness can collect in the lower face. When volume is added without considering facial shape, it can exaggerate this effect and make the face appear heavier.

On the other hand, square, rectangle, and diamond faces tend to lose volume and become more hollow over time. These faces often benefit from strategic volume replacement to restore softness and balance.

The goal of treatment shouldn’t be to add volume everywhere. It should be to understand how YOUR face shape ages and create the right combination of lift, support, structure, and softness.
