I wish someone would have told me this earlier about losing 60+ lbs: consistency beats complexity every single time.

You don’t need a new, complicated recipe for every single day. Instead, I stick to a simple formula:

Lean Protein

A Carb I Enjoy

Healthy Fat

Fiber

I build my daily meals around these four pillars to fit my target macros and keep my favorites on rotation.

And remember: basic does NOT mean bland. Heavy up on your favorite seasonings, make food that tastes good, and keep it simple enough to sustain for life.

If there is one piece of advice I wish I had known earlier in my fitness journey, it is this: start tracking what actually works for YOUR body and your lifestyle.
It is so easy to see a routine online, try to copy it step by step, and get frustrated when you do not see the same results. The truth is that no two bodies are the same. We all have different schedules, stress levels, and digestive systems.
Instead of forcing someone else's plan to work, start paying close attention to your own body. Track the foods that make you feel energized versus the ones that cause bloating and gas. Track how many hours of sleep you get and how that impacts your strength in the gym the next day. Track how different meal timings affect your hunger and energy.
All of these little details add up when it comes to sustainable weight loss and overall health. Knowing your own body is the real key to building a routine you can actually stick to for life! 💪

After years of caring about what others thought, I finally learned a lesson the hard way: you have to stop caring about people's opinions if you want to change your life.

When I started taking my goals seriously, the comments started coming. I would bring my meal preps to family events, and people always had something to say. When I decided to stop drinking alcohol, I was questioned constantly. Everyone had an opinion on how I chose to live my life.

But here is what I realized: none of those people are going to wake up and do the work for you. Nobody is going to reach your goals for you except YOU.

The truth is, not many people are willing to prep their meals, exercise multiple times a week, or step out of their comfort zone. When people see you putting in that discipline, it can make them uncomfortable because it reflects what they know they should be doing. Instead of working on themselves, they project their insecurities onto you through negative comments.

Do not let other people's discomfort keep you from building the life and body you deserve. We only get one life, so do what is best for you and your health at the end of the day!

The Single Mindset Shift That Helped Me Lose Over 60 Pounds Naturally 💪

If there is one thing that completely transformed my fitness journey, it is this: I stopped negotiating with myself when it comes to working out.

In the past, every workout felt like a debate. I would listen to every excuse my mind created. I was too tired, too sore, it was too hot, too cold, or I had too much to do. I would reason with those excuses, talk myself out of training, and skip my workouts altogether.

Now? Working out is part of my daily hygiene. Just like brushing my teeth, it is non-negotiable. I do not sit around thinking about whether I feel like doing it, I just do it. Even on my busiest days, I make sure my workout gets done first because my health comes first.

If you are just starting your weight loss journey, start small. Pick your days, stick to them, and stop giving your excuses a seat at the table. Once you push past the temptation to negotiate, you will see how quickly that habit forms. You've got this!

The Single Most Important Thing That Helped Me Stay Consistent with Working Out 4 Days a Week 💪

If you struggle with staying consistent in the gym, here is the #1 thing that changed everything for me: keeping my workout plan simple. Not easy: but simple.

I'm not chasing the newest viral exercises online, and I don't change my entire routine every month just because I'm not seeing instant results. Instead, I stick to the exact same basic, proven movements for months at a time while focusing on progressive overload.

When you strip away the noise and stick to the core fundamentals that actually work, consistency becomes so much easier. You track your progress, build real strength, and actually see results instead of constantly starting over with new moves.

Master the basics, stay patient, and let time do the work. Hope this helps you on your weight loss and fitness journey! Good luck! 🔥

Growing up, I was always lean. I never struggled with food addiction, emotional eating, or trying to lose weight. Back then, I honestly thought weight loss was simple and straightforward.

Then my life completely changed.

After losing my mom, my world crumbled. I spiraled into a severe depression, and for the first time in my life, I turned to food for comfort. That turned into a deep cycle of binge eating until I got sick. I gained over 60 pounds, reaching over 210 pounds.

Going through that taught me something I could have never understood before weight loss isn't just about food or exercise. When you've built a heavy emotional connection to food because of pain or grief, breaking that cycle is hard.

Experiencing both sides opened my eyes. Now, whenever I see someone who is overweight trying to transform their life, my heart filled with empathy and respect. You never know what someone is carrying, what trauma they are healing from, or why they turned to food in the first place.

The ultimate goal for everyone should be to get healthy, but no two journeys look the same. Be kind to others, give yourself grace, and let people move at their own pace.

5 Non-Negotiable Habits That Helped Me Lose Over 60 Lbs Naturally 💪

Losing over 60 pounds naturally didn't come down to quick fixes, fad diets, or extreme restriction. It came down to mastering these top 5 fundamentals:

1️⃣ Calorie Deficit: This is the foundation of weight loss. You can easily use free online calculators to find your baseline and set a realistic deficit that fits your lifestyle.

2️⃣ Balanced Diet: Prioritize high-quality lean protein, smart carbs, fiber, and healthy fats. Fueling your body properly keeps you full, preserves muscle, and sustains your energy throughout the day.

3️⃣ Quality Sleep: Aim for 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night. Sleep is essential for muscle recovery, regulating hunger hormones, and ensuring you perform at your best every day.

4️⃣ Hydration: Drinking just 16 oz of water a day is not enough, especially if you are working out and sweating. Upgrade your water intake to keep your digestion smooth and energy high.

5️⃣ Movement: Combine lifting weights 3 to 4 times a week with cardio 3 to 4 times a week. Resistance training builds muscle and shapes your body, while cardio supports heart health and endurance.

Keep it simple, stay consistent, and let time do the work! 🔥

Can you lose weight eating Taco Bell and drinking soda? Yes. Is it actually making you healthy? No.

When someone got mad in my comments saying I shouldn't push whole foods because you can lose weight on junk food, it reminded me why I started making content in the first place.

At 210+ lbs, fighting severe depression, binge eating, and cancer, I wasn't trying to just get thin. I was trying to save my own life. Weight loss was just a side effect of getting healthy.

There's a massive difference between shedding pounds and actually nourishing your body. Do what works for you, focus on your own health, and stop comparing your path to anyone else's!

When I first started my weight loss journey, I was working out hard and eating clean, but something was still missing. My sleep was terrible, and it was holding me back way more than I realized.

Once I actually prioritized fixing my sleep habits, everything shifted. My muscle recovery improved, my energy soared, and making healthy choices throughout the day became ten times easier.

Sleep is the ultimate foundation. When your rest is in check, everything else starts falling into place.

I know life happens with work demands, kids, and busy schedules, but aim for 7 to 8 hours whenever you can. Making rest a priority will completely transform how you feel and perform! 😴

One thing I realized after losing over 60 lbs is something my 210 lb self would have never understood: when you fuel your body with real food, your body lets you know real quick when you give it garbage.

Back when I was eating heavily processed foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I was so used to feeling sluggish and bloated that I thought it was normal. I had zero alignment with my body.

Now that I prioritize whole foods, the contrast is insane. If I eat something heavily processed, I pay for it the next day. Heartburn, breakouts, stomach pain, and zero energy. It is a crazy insight into how your body literally speaks to you when something isn't good for it.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy eating out and having treats from time to time. But because I pay attention to how my body actually feels, I choose whole foods most of the time. Once you heal your diet, your body will tell you exactly what it needs!
