To be very transparent, it has come to my attention that this is one of my shadows.
I didn’t realize how much I craved validation. For me being a mother, my work, and what I can offer in relationships.
As I unpack this shadow I’m learning that just being AWARE of something means the transformation can occur. It’s not by striving I can transform through this shadow, yet by every time I’m aware of it as I start to crave or seek validation.
I’ve started to do breath work and meditate on my value so I connect to my core inner confidence. If I fully embrace and own who I am and what uniqueness I bring just by being me , then I won’t need validation from outsiders.
It’s a little painful at first to recognize (it stung fo sho) AND I’m now filled with gratitude so now I can show up Authentic.
I’ve experienced the most transformation of my life this past year and a half with an Open Heart, Open Mind and being Connected to my Body and Soul.

Honoring the Earth is something we as a collective have lost touch of. She is alive and generous.
I grew up without wearing shoes often because I craved the earth under my feet. The grass, mud, lakes, dirt, rain and even the snow.
The busier we get in our fast paced lives the easier it has become to disconnect from her.
She is a source of healing, joy and shelter. May we all little by little reconnect and love her. Even if it’s just a walk without shoes on, taking deep breaths and feeling the elements on our bodies and talking it in like we did as kids.
Let’s remember her, after all we are held up by her everyday and she calls us to live, really live!!!!!

Quieting the busy Mind is a huge challenge for me.... And when I do this through yoga or meditation my Soul will speak from my true Soul Space.
It feels energetically different when I’m operating out of this instead of fear or people pleasing or insecurity.
The people around me can feel the difference too.
I’m learning to Love my true self as I reconnect to her. I love to be centered, yet wild!!! Free on the inside and out to be me. We can all choose what’s right for us and it’s okay if it’s different than what’s right for others.
We all want to have a shared human Experince of freedom yet we will get there in different ways because we are all unique. Peeling back the layers can be filled with tears since it’s tender to go inside and be vulnerable. Yet THIS is where the beauty and authenticity is!
Slowly but surely I am going to be unapologetically myself and when others do the same i think it’s the most beautiful gift we give ourselves and those around us.
Vulnerability is courageous AND contagious. I have definitely had vulnerability hangovers but that’s still a baby step. Keep moving forward.

It’s so important to have the right type of hair with your sewn methods.

This is what makes it feel comfortable and almost undetectable.

Make sure you do research on what the hair looks and feels like at the top of the weft. It’s such a big investment you want to be satisfied with it!!
There are more options out there than you realize and they all seem to call them Handtied and not all are!!!
Just because the method is sewn by hand doesn’t mean they are Handtied hair!!!

Speak UP!
I had a hard time speaking my truth because I LOST my truth. I was disconnected from my true self and i was afraid people wouldn’t like me or I would hurt their feeling if I told them the truth or didn’t agree with them.
I’ve been learning it’s not my weight to carry. Other people’s feeling are not my responsibility. Doesn’t mean I don’t care about people’s feelings. I do. Deeply. I just have to differentiate between what is my soul truth and what’s others to carry.
So I’m going to start speaking more truth on here. Things I feel passionate about other than hair!
Hair is my Passion.
It’s not my Purpose.
I wanted to invite you along in the SPEAK UP journey with me.
I’ll be speaking up about a spectrum of things that matter to me and I want to encourage you to start doing the same. Our truth and passions matter! They may not all hit us the same way but we can journey together and hold beautiful space for each other. We can be inspired by one another’s truths!
