Carmen's Gardens
Carmen’s Gardens started with a few herbs for cooking and expanded into a handmade soap business. Utilize my small corner of the world productively!
Carmen’s Gardens started as a simple project, a few herbs for cooking. The garden expanded; it became a way to live off the land and be self-sustaining. Become a mindful provider–not a user, waster, and polluter–fed by my desire to promote a consciousness and act with others as guardians of the environment. First there was Soap. It evolved from my wish to stop placing chemicals into the ground water; life-sustaining water that feeds the surrounding pond, birds, and animals at my home. I added herbs to my handmade soaps as a way to introduce a little part of my surroundings and me. I wanted to make my products personal and reflect my passion for sustainability. I began sharing my first products with friends and family as Christmas gifts etc., and they truly enjoyed it. I expanded my wares to include Lotions, Lotion Bars and Bath Scrubs, with other products in the works. From my garden, to your home.

Working on my fourth recipe for a hair conditioner bar. I’ve tested the first two and they work well. The texture isn’t so great. Will try the next two and see how it works out!
