“I’m so uptight I squeak” was hands-down the funniest thing said at this table of five this morning.

Each of us owns a salon here in Lubbock, and today we gathered with one simple intention: to become friends and supporters of one another in an industry that can too often feel like unhealthy competition.

Some of us met for the very first time at this table. Some of us have known each other for years. Some of us only knew each other on social media before this! What we all share is a deep love for this craft and a desire to see it grow in a healthier, more positive direction, starting with us.

We’re choosing to be encouragers, collaborators, and teachers as leaders in this industry. Our hope is that positivity becomes contagious, and that the beauty profession feels more supportive, respectful, and truly professional for everyone.

Start the new year in a fresh new spot!
Wallflower is looking for established stylists who want to work with a group of girls whose work reflects well on the whole salon, who are kind and considerate and clean coworkers, and who each come with years of experience in our craft to share! Stylists with positive references from instructors and previous employers will be preferred - because we protect the positive vibes of our work environment.

💜Boothrent is $155 a week with 1 week free each year and 4 weeks maternity leave.
💜Towels provided
💜Laundry service provided
💜Salon is well maintained and quickly repaired as needed
💜We have a few call ins each week to share, especially men’s cuts, but this is best suited for someone who mostly has a clientele.
💜Clients find us through social media, our busy-street location, and through the variety of social events held at our neighboring business Johnny Velvet. These events get people touring the salon nearly every week and making face to face personal connections with us for long lasting loyal customers.
💜Stylists tend to settle in and stay for years, and this is the first time in a few years that we’ve had more than just a single station open.
💜Stylists are cheered on and supported to grow in their careers even long after they’ve left us.

Stylists tend to settle in here for peace, freedom, and relaxed environment and stay for a long time! We are a friendly, home-town-feeling, open concept salon for stylists who want a good balance of social time and quiet intimacy in their work environment.
