You’ve probably all heard that blondes shouldn’t swim because their hair might turn green or dry out. And yes, that can happen, but usually it’s just a minor color shift, not real damage!

In my sister’s case, the problem wasn’t just “blonde hair turning green.” The pool water wasn’t chemically treated correctly, and it completely fried her hair on top of turning it green. So the green was honestly the least of her problems!

Moral of the story: you shouldn’t be scared to swim just because you’re blonde…. people do it every day without issues. The real danger comes when the water isn’t properly maintained.
