What she wanted: this client was tired of the copper color. She wanted 1️⃣ a base lighter than her natural color that wasn’t too warm 2️⃣ lots of blonde. Why aren’t there more highlights? I worked with her on a happy medium for a few reasons:

❤️ She has old highlights that were covered up when she decided to go copper.
❤️ I needed to use blue and green undertones to cancel out the copper in between foils, PLUS a separate formula for her virgin regrowth.

Overlapping lightener over highlights that have been colored over requires extreme care and tons of babysitting to ensure the integrity of the hair is not compromised.

We came up with a plan to get her lighter in the future while keeping her hair as healthy as possible.
