I am a product ju**ie.
I love to try all sorts of hair serums, sprays, masks, you name it...I've probably tried it. Clients frequently ask me what it is I use in their hair to make it look and feel so great. Very frequently I send them home with bottles of my product.
So, as to save me from having to run to the beauty supply every day, I am now offering "Jewel's Favorites," products that I use, trust, and LOVE, for sale in my shop. I'll be adding things pretty frequently, so keep checking in to see what's new for you to love too!

The past several months have been a whirlwind.
I wanted to take a second to thank those who have entrusted me with their hair care while I have been in school. I'm not going to lie...it's been a challenge for me, especially as an absolute perfectionist who is really hard on myself if I don't get something perfect on the first try.
I haven't been as vigilant as I should be about updating this page with photos of my work, but those of you who have been following me from the beginning already know what's up, sooo...
With that being said, my appointment book is completely filled on days when I am not in class, and for that, I can't thank you all enough. If you would like to book an appointment, click "request an appointment," select the service you are interested in, and see what times are available.
You can also come see me at Vogue College of Cosmetology, Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 until 5, by appointment only.
I work from home on days when salons traditionally are not open.
I continue to learn, grow, evolve and improve in my craft...and without the support of people like you, and especially my sweet husband, I couldn't have done this. I will be graduating in the next few weeks and look forward to serving you as a licensed cosmetologist.

My only suggestion to her was to let me trim a couple of inches from the length just to clean it up a bit. Will do that Saturday.

Considering fashion color?
Consider this.
Cost, care, and maintenance.

Cost: depending on the length and what you're wanting done...count on spending a minimum of $120.

Care: you will need proper product to care for your color. Grocery store shampoos and conditioners will strip and fade that color right out, even if you use "color care" formulas. Come see me for recommendations. Good product is the single most important investment when caring for fashion colored hair.

Maintenance: fashion color fades quickly even with the best care. Poorly maintained hair doesn't look good... which leads us back to our original point...cost.
To keep that color looking vivid and looking good, you will need to have your hair colored much more frequently than you would with normal permanent color.

Also consider this: damage. Since most fashion color will require prelightenjng, aka bleaching, your hair will sustain some damage.

Furthermore, removal of fashion color from hair is tricky, particularly for people who have light colored/blonde hair. If you want it gone, especially if you're a natural blonde, be prepared to have your hair colored a lighter brown color with tones intended to neutralize whichever fashion color you had on your hair. It is NEVER a one time process...this is CORRECTIVE COLOR...and it is expensive!
