Today Southern Rootz Salon welcomed a new stylist Megan Fowler! Dont be fooled because She isn't new to the hair world. You have to see her work yall, she is amazing!🙂 Please help make her feel welcome in her new place! We are so excited for her and Southern Rootz!

Its bittersweet that today Southern Rootz will say goodbye to the one and only Rena Freeman as co-owner/stylist. She will no longer be behind the chair here but will always be part of our Salon family. Southern rootz will miss her so much but we wish her nothing but the best on her new journey. We love you Rena!

It is with great sadness that we lost such a sweet loving lady. Ms. Jeannette Freeman will be missed so dearly. We ask that if you need to book an appointment with Rena that you please wait and schedule next week. The salon will remain open but will be closing Wednesday to celebrate Ms. Freemans life. To all our clients: The salon will be back open for business starting Tuesday May 26th! We will be operating by appointments only. We are aware that phase 2 will begin Friday evening but we would like to spend this memorial day weekend with our family. We know that everyone is excited to be back in the salon chair but we will be operating very differently than before. We will be making appointments for our clients who were previously on the books who was unable to come due to closure. After those clients have their appointment all others will follow in the order in which they reached out to us. Please be patient with us we will be taking extra time to sanitize between clients as well. Clients will be expected to perform social distancing and mask will be worn. We have so many wonderful clients and there is only two of us. Clients will be expected to arrive on their appointment time. We are excited to be getting back to normal, as normal as possible right now. Like always we love and appreciate all our southern rootz clients and we cant wait to see yall!🥰

To all our clients the governor has announced all salons be closed down by 5pm on Wednesday March 25th. Please contact if you need anything and we will do our best to get you in.
