Hello everyone! It has been a while sine I posted and there is a good reason! 🤗 As some may know already, before going to cosmetology school, I taught ESL (English as a Second Language) in Japan and the US. Well, upon needing to stay in the US due to COVID and then voluntarily staying due to meeting my current boyfriend, I was frustrated with my teaching career and felt like I needed a change. I followed cosmetology due to always being interested in my own beauty, self-care, and health routines and also due to being able to continue to help people, just in a different way. ❤️

Although I still have a passion for it, cosmetology as a career really isn’t for me right now, and that’s OKAY. 👍 But if there is one thing I want to stress online, it is this: BEAUTY IS SUBJECTIVE. Society has us so concerned about our hair, nails, and skin to an UNHEALTHY level. (In my opinion.) Overconsumption. Greed. Fake social media. Etc. I can go on. (But won’t because you’re probably more than aware and get the point.)😆

So, for now, I will NOT be continuing to offer services to NEW CLIENTS. ⚠️
If you are a current client of mine and I have not spoken to you yet, please contact me and I will 1) make arrangements to still continue your services or 2) recommend a stylist/nail tech that I trust to take care of you the way I did. 🥰

I’m so truly grateful for the support from friends, family, and especially Gina and Donna at the salon. 🙏 Thank you for the opportunity to pursue something different. I learned a lot, which is what is really important.

That said, what will I be doing? Well, I’ve been offered a full-time teaching position at LCCC in their adult learners program and officially start TODAY! 📆🎉 I will still be teaching ESL and expanding my knowledge to their Family Literacy program, where I will help adults learn how to teach their children early literacy skills to promote reading and early educational success. It’s a fascinating topic and I’m honored to be offered the opportunity to continue my professional development and to return to the thing that I knew I really loved: teaching. 👩‍🏫

Overall, I want to say this: It’s okay to start over. It’s okay to try something new. Your true purpose will find its way to you at the exact time it needs to. Trust yourself and your intuition. 🖤

Thank you all so much for your support during my cosmetology journey. This is not good bye, but just see you later, I’m sure. ✌️
