guys I literally haven't had bangs since I was in kindergarten, but I'm loving them! 🫶🏼🥹

🔑New keys to a new salon!?

You may have noticed our name changed from The Beauty Dossiers to , well guess what we are expanding to a new location! Thank you to those who made it possible to make the leap from our little 200 sq ft studio to a salon of our very own!

One of my favorite things to do behind the chair, is the finishing! When it all comes to life and my guest smiles at their new color, extensions, or haircut, I just get so geeked. I created that! 🤓

The NEWS is out!! 🥳🥳 and I are so excited to announced we are opening our own salon suite!!! ⁣

We will no longer be servicing clients at De Jolie Salon. It is a bittersweet feeling to leave our home salon, but we are beyond stoked to create new memories in our new space. ⁣
⁣
It has always been a dream of ours to collaborate our education, business goals and passion for all things beauty. We aren’t going to lie— opening a business during a pandemic has been a stressful and anxiety filled journey. We are so thankful to have each other during each breakdown we have had LOL.⁣

This is just the beginning for !! Now that we are allowed to service clients, there will be many safety precautions & requirements to follow, that will be posted later this week! 🥰⁣

We will be rescheduling ALL of our appointments ourselves... Keep in mind we are rescheduling HUNDREDS of appointments. We promise to reach out to everyone in the order they were cancelled. Please be patient with us during this new change... Not only are we hairstylists, we will now be our own receptionists/ accountants/ head of marketing/ the coffee makers/ the cleaning ladies— you get it. 🤪⁣

nicole’s hair is everyone’s dream but the reason we were able to achieve this is because she is naturally a level 7, or a medium/dark blonde. ⁣
⁣
what does medium/dark blonde mean? that just means at her natural starting point the underlying pigments I have to break through are yellow/orange (aka gold) then yellow and then a pale yelllow. whereas if you are to start at a level 4, medium brown, you have to break through red/orange/gold/yellow/pale yellow. ⁣
⁣
at almost every consultation I will pull out a natural level finder because the more accurate you are will finding their true natural level, the better results you will achieve. Plus you can simultaneously set visual expectations for what their hair could potentially look like. ⁣

I believe it is important to show hair in “levels” because “medium/dark hair” means different things to different people, but a level is spoken universally.

Let’s talk extensions! The number one question we (stylists) get asked is “Will extensions damage my hair?” The answer is NO!* if and only if* they are applied correctly, maintained at home properly and removed correctly by a professional! Extensions should be comfortable! And when applied properly they are discreet!⁣

1️⃣ I-TIP: no heat, no glue, just small beads and points of attachment for a natural result. 360 degrees of mobility for the most comfortable wear. Similar to a keratin bond extension except reusable! Maintenance required every 6 weeks! ⁣

2️⃣BEADED WEFT: also no heat and no glue! Get the most coverage and volume in 30-90 minutes. Maintenance required every 6 weeks! ⁣

3️⃣BONDS: aka keratin tip, or fusion extensions. Uses heat to form bonds around strands of hair. Ultimate customization for the most blended result. 360 degrees of mobility for a comfortable wear in the hair up to 4 months!⁣

4️⃣TAPE IN: Uses medical grade tape to secure your hair in between two sandwiches of extension pieces. These can get messy for reapplication but they are reusable! They can be customized for all hair types and textures! Maintenance required every 6 weeks! ⁣

I sit here tonight in awe that I have a clientele that chooses me. Yes, “chooses” me. I always talk about how saturated the hairstylist community is. You have options within my salon, within my city, the surrounding townships, etc. Hell there is a beauty salon on almost every square mile. And yet you choose me. 1️⃣ process: global application thru zone 1, platinum plus w. 20 volume, then process 45-50 minutes. If there is a band, drag down lightener, 20 volume + bond builder, thru zone 2 for last 20 mins. Rinse. Root Shade= Apply toner to the root, process 10 minutes, then apply toner to the ends for an additional 5-15 minutes, until desired shade is achieved. Shampoo, apply .raw acidic milk for 5 minutes, rinse throughly, condition. Then cut/style(30-45mins).
2️⃣ timing: typically 2-3 hours
3️⃣ price range/ maintenance : $127-$167 every 4-6 weeks. Root loyalty is everything when it comes to platinum/solid blondes!! Once your hair grows past 1/2 inch, extra steps and product need to be accounted for to get an even lift and prevent banding.
4️⃣ home care: moisturizing shampoo ($30-$40) and conditioner or masque($40-$50), purple//blue toning shampoo ($13-$30). Styling aids: 10-in-1 spray ($27) or thermique ($37), dry texture wave ($39) and dry shampoo ($26) to prevent over shampooing.
